The kobold (D&D version, not WoW's) lover in me will give a the Dracthyr Evoker a chance but I'm not expecting it to take the spot of main or principal alt for me (Mage and Monk respectively).

Just like everybody switched mains to Demon Hunters for a month. :-)

That will definitely happen, but it might be less that the DH. DHs suffered from entering a pretty saturated melee DPS field, especially after the introduction of Monks, the reorganization of Rogues, and the introduction of Survival Melee.

I think the Dracthyr being the first new ranged class since vanilla and a class that starts at level 58 is going to help them a ton.

I'll probably try one just because its new but unlikely to get serious playtime unless the ranged spec is incredibly fun or something.

That and I already main a bear tank so having another class where they effectively can't mog in combat is bit of a turn-off.

Plus they might have something similar to PI so utility might be a big thing
