I hope the Everwyrm post doesn't mean we aren't getting any news today.

Also there's no way the Wyrm would've been the Belf heritage mount. 1, it would set a precedent for every old race getting a heritage mount (which would be cool but I don't think it's happening), and 2, it's a flying mount. Both of the mounts they added were old ground mounts "to be fair to both factions".

I think he means one single big landmass. Both SL and BFA didnt have them.

I assume he means how Shadowlands were not connected at all, and we had both Zandalar and Kul Tiras with a loading screen.

For the first time in a while we got ONE big continent again.

Yup. I still think Broken Isles is a LITTLE too disconnected in the zone themes, despite the overall elf/nature theme (except Stormheim, fuck that), but it's great to see another giant singular island again with a unified theme.

See, I didn't think that Broken Isles was all that thematically coherent.

Aszuna and Sauramar were coherent and basically extended storyline.

But Valsharah while Elf, wasn't overly connected to Aszuna and the over all themes of Broken Isles. It was Druidic, which is pretty well divorced from anything in the old style.

    Highmountain was also pretty divorced.
    Stormheim was as well.

It was one of the few complaints I have on Legion. It isn't overly coherent.

still holding out hope for a datamine build but who knows at this point

I'd guess we'll see it post-NDA lift, so probably Thursday morning.

If i've learned anything from playing this game for 17 years, it's that Blizzard (and the fanbase to an extent) LOVE a good druid zone

Nagrand, Sholazar, Hyjal, Valsharah, Ardenweald etc. People love them some trees

Ah yeah that I can get, then, and while I was fine with Kul Tiras and Zandalar, the Shadowlands being disconnected was a bit downer.

And yeah I did not like how tonally clashing the Isles were, theme wise (and Azsuna itself also being positively schizophrenic)

Val'sharah and Suramar have several connections, such as the Arcan'dor and the druids/Moon Guard that have some presence in the area, but the most important part is that the druids of Val'sharah are the result of what happened to (most of) the Highborne that WEREN'T bubbled off. So you can count it as a Highborne area as the Night Elves are what came about from that separation and the destruction of Zin'Azshari.

As for the Highmountain, there is less connection to the elves, but it's also heavily nature themed and is a nod to how Tauren and Night Elves were the first Druids (though this isn't exactly mentioned in the zone itself). But the general wilderness/nature theme connects the area to Val'sharah and some of Suramar.

Stormheim is almost completely disconnected from the entirety of the Isles and the Vrykul only have a presence in one tiny area of Suramar they are invading. It's a stupid zone lore and culture wise and may as well be its own Disneyland, as the Vrykul don't bother fucking with the rest of the huge island they live on.

The conversation about the warping/blurring due to gravity pulls was especially intriguing

I very speedily changed my desktop wallpaper to that picture with the cosmic cliffs - truly wondrous

It might have been pointed out but I notice that they either got rid of the bulky player power bars on the new interface or they offer an option to switch back to classic.

You mean the extra ones on the right usually? Could very well be! Although with these new talent trees it doesn't look as though you'll be using less buttons in most cases
