I would be legitimately surprised if the new world tree ends up anywhere other than on top of Teldrassil.

For one, there's a strong pull for whatever reason to keep everything at a status quo. Undercity hinted at coming back eventually in the Forsaken epilogue. Even the Cenarion Hold in Silithus was rebuilt despite the entire zone being atomized.

Secondly, I think the current devs desperately want to undo things touched by he-who-shall-not-be-named. Very much saw that in Shadowlands and I think it will continue moving forward.

Nelves deserve Kalimdor, and if Forsaken got Lordaeron back they probably will not be moving either.

If the Forsaken are getting Undercity back, Night Elves are going to use the seed where Teldrassil is now.

And despite being a Shadowlands seed, it'll look exactly the same as Teldrassil did.

Because apparently in BFA's case status quo was god, while it wasn't for Theramore, or Silithus, or the Blasted Lands, or the Cataclysm...

Why would it suck? As you said, y'all got Lordaeron back, and they already talked about placing the world seed somewhere at the Dragon Isles.

They talked about giving it to the greens so they can safeguard it until its ready to be planted, not that they'll place it over there.

Northern Kalimdor is their home since long before they even became elves, Hyjal one of their most sacred places.
They shouldn't be forced to emigrate to a random other place.

Here we go again. I've read this after Sargeras dropped his sword into Silithus right before BfA, I've read this right after N'zoth was disintegrated right before Shadowlands and I've read this right after the Jailer supposedly sucked out Azeroth's energy right before Dragonflight was announced...

By the way, I cannot stress enough how amazing it is to go back to Uldaman. That dungeon was epic in Vanilla, it was still epic in Classic and it will be nice to revisit it once again. Such a cool place Blizzard created almost 20 years ago.

Unfortunately they are totally going to ruin it, by making it a streamlined, boring hallway instead of the sprawling maze it's supposed to be.

Just like they ruined Scholomance.

If I was a dev, if there was one piece of terrain that I'd want a chance to revamp in the entirety of Azeroth it's Teldrassil. Sure other places suffer from poor textures, limitations in forming zone borders and low poly world objects but no place in WoW has as much space for improvement as Teldrassil.

If I was a dev, if there was one piece of terrain that I'd want a chance to revamp in the entirety of Azeroth it's Teldrassil. Sure other places suffer from poor textures, limitations in forming zone borders and low poly world objects but no place in WoW has as much space for improvement as Teldrassil.

If Teldrassil is planned to come back, I can see it being reimagined to what the original team wanted it but technology was too limited back in those days.

Why TF would they plant a tree in a blasted desert that was previously home to an old god? There are a million more suitable locations, don't give me that symbolic BS. They wouldn't want to risk corrupting ANOTHER world tree.

These places were megadungeons of that time. But at that time it meant maze-like dungeons with no maps, quantity over quality bosses/trash, shit mechanics with no counter and general lack of experience in creating PvE content.

Funny how these seems to be much more liked than current ones, when so many of them are a low features rocks and crystals slapped onto the person. Guess the theme does make the difference, these sets are so much savage and primal than w/e WoD produced.
