Irrational disdain? I said I think the art looks bad and that particular picture of Sylvanas makes me think of a monkey. There's no need to get offensive over an opinion that isn't really hurting anyone.
Unless you're the artist who drew it. Then I can see you being offended.

Yikes. I forgot about this stuff. At the very least, it's not on loading screens.- - - Updated - - -
Those just remind me of derp shark faces.
So thought exercise. If Dragonriding was expanded to all flying, how many different skeletons do we have that are used by flying mounts? How many ways would we group them?
walking in the air animal (warfront elven cat, paladin horse, monk tiger)
winged cat (water tiger)
winged doglike (quilen, urzul demon)
winged mouse
winged horse
winged hound of sargeras
griffon
wyvern
bat
bird
rylak
static (ship, mage tower book, mage mount)
skygolem
mechanical spider - sepulcher achievment mount
mimiron-helicopter
...
(maybe many more)
Dunno, some mounts literally works like helicopter, would it make sense to implement dragonriding there? Maybe ability to hover over world semi afk is enough to make flying relevant even if dragonriding would be available everywhere?
Maybe more important is to give reason to use ground only mounts, with dragonriding we don't have even these 7-8 months when they are relevant. Imo we need some kind of 'wings' equipment, would make more sense to me than giving magic wings to only some horses.

Yeah I do wonder if they can make ground mounts work without some form of mounted combat. I was thinking that every race has a racial ground mount (and beyond the official ones from Blizz some definitely have other mount types that match them as well). Not sure you can find flying mounts for every race (not even sure humans have a flying mount that is unique to them; gryphons are more associated with dwarves).
As for flying mounts we do have a massive number of winged flyers most of which should fly in a similar manner, then we have air walkers that just run in the air (mostly horses) and finally we have mounts that are meant to hover. The first category works just fine with dragonriding. The different mounts that just run in the air would need some serious adjustments and the final category should NOT work.
Finally something I can agree with you on.
Not liking an art style is just a subjective thing. Unless of course if you can draw better. Because if you can and then you proceed to say that a different art style is better then that just makes you an asshole and full of yourself.

Better to have this than to have people complain every 5 seconds and risk Blizzard "revamping" this new talent system a couple expansions down the line again. Not that some complaining won't be gone. Some people really wanna get rid of every single RPG aspect this game has.
It was an artistic choice. Sylvanas and Valeera's expressions being in the BFA plot match those of the reader consuming the BFA plot. It's a way to make them more relatable. It has even more resonance when you remember that this same comic is one of the first allusions to SL.
Dickmann's Law: As a discussion on the Lore forums becomes longer, the probability of the topic derailing to become about Sylvanas approaches 1.
Tinkers will be the next Class confirmed.
So reading comments from different reviewers and discords it seems that when it comes to the talents most of the complaints are NOT for the specialization trees; most people are happy with those or have mostly issues with pathing; things that can be solved.
Nah the issues seems to be with the class tree and are many and varied. Too much throughput locking you so you only have a very few flex points for utility, too much baseline stripped (has anyone adressed this for druids in particular? They suffer the most from this).
I think part of the issue was that they felt they had to make the class tree so big because it covers 31 points because of the way they divided the points. So either they'd pull all of the utility out of the spec trees (which can be problematic since some of it is very much part of spec identity; as a protadin I am not happy at all that holy and ret are getting Spellwarding which was pretty much my unique utility, which Holy in particular did NOT need) or they'd just make far less abilities baseline, stripping classes that had large toolkits bare (will Demon Hunters even have abilities to use if they don't use their talent points?)
So what if not all 31 of those points went to Class talents. What if we had a racial tree as well. Instead of just getting racials, we could get racial abilities. You could use it to flesh out class fantasy more. Perhaps have one third of the class tree points instead give you a racial talent point instead of a class one. Make it full utility. Use it so you can better balance the racials.
