There's a hashtag on Twitter by the name of #MightOfNightElves and it's a bunch of really cool art of Night Elf OC's. The more I scroll down and look at it the happier it makes me but at the same time it's also depressing.
Why Blizzard....
So what are you guys hoping to see in tonight's Alpha build?
Here's the obvious, I guess:
- Demon Hunter talents.
- Final two dungeons.
- Raid testing.
- Any remaining professions specializations.
- Additions to the HUD update.
Here's what I'm hoping for on top of that:
- MUSIC!
- Surprise, Survival now has dual-wield!
- Alpha is now Beta, get a key as a Twitch drop.
I mean I'd fully expect start of beta to coincide with a massive invite wave and then be followed within a week with an onslaught of promotional competitions to get keys.
I'm assuming that beta hits next week
We get Final talent tree tomorrow
Final dungeons
The renown reward system fully implemented with rewards
Next week
Beta
Big invite wave
Raid testing announcement
Many talent revamps

I played piano and sung for SL only to get blessed by rng
Then I entered like 5 Twitter competitions
Ended up with 1 invite via sending them my battletag
3 "keys" I gave to guildies
Then got flagged by blizzard so I had 2 betas on my launcher one of which I still have
DH talent trees. The only class they can't just bring old stuff back so they have to create a lot of new things - unless they just make the talent tree full of passive stat buffs which would be... pretty lame.
I'm hoping for a return of the Glaive gameplay from Legion and maybe a build that's focused on Chaos magic. But we'll see. Demon Hunter is definitely the most bare bones class out of all so it's quite a task.

Don't know if they're going to launch WotLK Classic pre patch and DF beta the same week. I doubt it. I'd rather see DF mid September, in the middle between WotLK Classic pre patch and launch.
MAGA - Make Alliance Great Again
To be frank, I've gotten in at least two betas with keys some friend here handed me in a DM.
Though the best was WoD Alpha were I got in by Blizzard the night before I had to present myself to the army (mandatory service). I still played a bit of Frostfire.

Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

We might see it, but likely just in Mythic, and even probably just with the last few bosses. I imagine Blizzard might be aiming for RWF being difficult by virtue of the bosses being completely untested on the PTR to ensure raiders need to adapt on the fly, rather than being difficult by just adding more mechanics to ensure raiders are still challenged with full knowledge.
Heroic is the difficulty I am the most concerned about. Mythic raiders are a tiny amount of the story layer population, whereas NM and HC are a fairly substantial amount, and the difficulty for those players is likely where Blizzard took the biggest hit.
The world revamp dream will never die!
This. The tuning of the bosses they didn't test was better than the others lol. The only real big issue was the Jailer Mythic shield in the last phase and they wouldn't have tested that anyways.
Also iirc they didn't really test the fated raids? Which also turned out quite ok tuning wise imo. It's just so much better if you have to go in blind the first week and figure out tactics on your own instead of being forced to either play ptr or watch videos from it.

Which is the way to go honestly. It makes for a far better watch experience for the RtWF too - instead of seeing guilds perform their already rehearsed tactics including already finished weak auras (!) you will have guilds having to figure out what to do in a live environment.
I see. I searched for some info and it seems that Golden is no longer working for Blizzard (no longer part of the team, she will probably write more books).
But it is so terrible that they work like that. How can we have a decent story under these conditions?
Anyway, really excited to see Vengeance DH talent tree tonight, as I made a new account for SL and I am maining one.
Also Gamescom starts tonight right? I guess that we will get a Beta date for DF in the coming days and hopefully some extra surprise.
Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive.
