Unsure what's going on with them unless it's a new secret.
Well, they are already a thing in Hearthstone.
I can already see their druid forms.
Prairie dog, chicken, house cat, package of tree seeds.

Formerly known as Arafal
Even though most of the changes they mention are a letdown for like a month of development time im really exited to see what they came up with. History shows that they are really bad at making multiple playstyles work for shadow, but who knows. We also discussed a design where Voidform is not central to the spec. Prior to Legion, the spec had its share of fun talents and abilities that we have modernized and brought into the talent tree, including Mind Spike and Dark Evangelism.
Also can someone please explain them that the class tree should be for class talents and not for talents that didn't fit in the spec tree anymore?
People keep saying this, but considering how much lore this game cribs from dungeons & dragons, where every race can already be every class, its absolutely a non-issue: An irrational fear.Okay, then them being different things has been established: That's what I asked. But what huth said: "The Twisting Nether is to Discord what the Shadowlands is to death" the part I was disputing, still isn't based on any established lore. You moved the goalpost to an unrelated point & are acting like its a "gotcha" moment.

Yeah because in dungeon and dragons the players make the story, sure there's a setting but it was made with lots of freedom of choice in mind. That ain't the case for Warcraft. You got Races with their own identity and culture.
I understand having a Night Elf paladin for example, if their spells had different names and visuals and they had their own specific armour. But I'm afraid that won't be the case. Which is just lazy.
All I ever wanted was the truth. Remember those words as you read the ones that follow. I never set out to topple my father's kingdom of lies from a sense of misplaced pride. I never wanted to bleed the species to its marrow, reaving half the galaxy clean of human life in this bitter crusade. I never desired any of this, though I know the reasons for which it must be done. But all I ever wanted was the truth.
Don't exaggerate, pls. Pretty much every class-race combo can be reasonably explained, lore wise. Druid gnomes can be simply gnomes who got exposed to druidic ways and got captivated by them. It happens all the time in fantasy genre, when unlikely combinations occur with individuals who experience a different calling.
Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.
Nothing wrong with locked race / class combos. But if that's the route you're going to take with lore then you need to add actual fluff to justify why there's cultural and racial differences for such restrictions. Modern WoW has been devoid of that for years and almost never gets that intricate when adding new lore. So I can see why they are moving to the more Hearthstone-esque design of everyone can be everything.
I used to be against all races being all classes. But now I am in favor of it. I welcome that freedom.
I know that in some cases it could seem weird, but at the end of the day, even a Tauren could be a rogue, probably 1 in 10.000 taurens has the skills for being a rogue, but it still could happen, so why should not we be able to experience that role? Along with these changes they should really start making almost everything account-wide, things like reputations and gold, its about time.
Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive.
