I mean, yeah, you can't just craft a Mythic item without doing Mythic. People that complain about "oh no, you can't craft raid relevant gear!" don't seem to grasp the concept of balancing.

Mythic+ throwing Mythic gear at you for minimal effort is already bad enough.

Honestly Mythic itself doesn't matter. My issue is with them talking about professions being a separate progression track. If it's supposed to be a progression track, it should let you progress to 14/14. Not progress to 5/14. Make it take forever but still make it possible.

Let's not forget the glorious days of an effortless mythic item per week from missions in WoD.

It was every other week actually.

Even still, barring BiS trinkets you now get mythic ilvl gear every week if you do a +15 Mythic dungeon, and even a choice of three if you do several.

Yep, I just went to check the Battle.net loader and the Game Version now says Dragonflight Beta instead of Alpha (in the In Development section below Wrath of the Lich King Classic Beta and above Classic Season of Mastery PTR.) It was definitely registering as Alpha a few days ago. It also says "Version 10.0.0.45232" underneath though that might be the version from Alpha. When I enter the game using Dragonflight Beta it immediately gives me an error and quits.

During the interview with max, ion said "in the next beta build" then instantly corrected himself and said alpha. I guess they didn't want to announce it before today

Alpha update is technically still accurate, if it was "alpha build" then it'd be wrong. Very minor semantics, but they knew what they were doing.

By the way, the Gamepass announcement is bigger news than beta. That’s huuuuuuge. WoW subscription in that package and it would be the best gaming deal ever, lol (okay, Gamepass already is).

Also, this is a neat new thing for those that don't check if they have beta available, it shows a link in quick link as well for those with a license. Guess they want as many eyes on as possible this beta.

I do expect it very soon as PTR usually isn't done for weeks at a time, but time will tell.

13 bucks a month for a WoW subscription or 13 bucks to access dozens of AAA games and Wow? Mhm.

If they can put brand new games in there, they can put WoW in it too. Fingers crossed. And time to get the Series X again.
