i dont like that DF has a similar leveling campaign style system but im gonna finally be able to enjoy leveling my alts again

Funny thing is I never really been a altoholic but this the expansion I have the most max levels. The only classes I’m missing is dk/hunt/pally/monk. Mainly cuz of covid at the start of the expansion though. I haven’t really touched my alts. Lock main, war/dh alts

i have monk, pally, shammy, and DK at max and all other classes except priest at 50

I still have so many alts to level, I at least want access to all professions just to be able to check anything special added.

I would wait 'till Blizzard enables the max level templates for that - iirc the profession flaskataurs aren't available anymore anyways, at least last time I checked. Also, I think you should be able to see everything with level 60 anyways regarding profs?

I've been testing professions in Beta the past weekend. You can see all the recipes, but the drop rate on some of the mats is dismal. I'm assuming they're designed to increase as you gain knowledge and specialize but it's not clear how you get those points. I have a maxxed skinner who has about 5 skill points in specialization but have only gotten the extra mats (besides the base leather/mail) needed to make one piece of leather so my LW is still skill level 2. I've prospected a couple hundred ore, but my JC is only level 22 because the prospecting isn't specced to get the better gems. A lot of the crafting gear is still flagged as NYI (not yet implemented) which is probably also designed to help those mat drops.

The interconnectedness reminds me of Classic/BC. There are very few recipes that don't require multiple mats and often mats from different sources. There's also a lot of mats needed. My best estimate is in order to run my main as the cooking/enchanter/JC for the raid team I'll need at least 90 bag slots for raw mats. Add in that most Gems and such have multiple levels, it'll take up a lot of space for finished materials in the guild bank.

There's a lot of potential for crafting to be a full time form of game play but its still probably going to be primarily adopted by the same people that play the Auction House for fun.

The potential for crafted gear (especially for alts) being viable for the whole expac does excite me.

You mean more than 6 alts? I think at some point in 10.X you will be able to get every specialization or switch will be easy, so I decided pick every profession only once. What is cool is that I was able to move some professions to my favourite Alliance characters, since mailing is cross-faction now.

Only really done three in Shadowlands. I honestly have played this expac less than WoD . . . at least with WoD you could make money.

You don't level in SL.

It's likely worth stopping by it once a day. Torghast on most classes is a level in 15mins with the daily. That said the best way to level is still joining pugs to reset legion assaults with level scaling.

Jade with Scaling is not going to be fun and Court of Stars was and is still a fucking annoying dungeon by its design. That's all.

Doesn't help the gimmick feature expansion dungeon is in the first pool which is also extremely annoying.

Temple is awesome if you can still pull all the trash into the bosses, although I guess scaling will say no haha.

These are also not a pinnacles of WoW dungeoneering. Plus, I don't think Blizz ever considered Vanilla places, reworked or not. Temple at least is a quick one. Water wing has like 4 trash packs and in library you can pull entire place as soon as you enter (if affixes allow it). Then you got 3 packs in the courtyard and 3 mobs before final boss. Imagine if we would get a goddamn Shado Pan Monastery. That would be dreadful.
