My cousins works for Blizzard, not a joke, he has done for the past six months in California. There are only 3 WoW expansions left in the pipeline depending on how well Dragonflight does. He couldn't say much but they're winding down on the amount of new features per expansion due to budget cuts, there are also no plans for a world revamp in the forseeable future. (there are plans to remaster old zones however). Patch content featuring the pre-sundering may be a thing. Also TCG items will be coming to the store in 2023. No Cataclysm classic.

World of Warcraft is their biggest source of revenue. They're not going to do this so long as they don't have anything to replace that & that ain't happening until they figure out how to monetize overwatch porn

So, do we think that "The Introductory Quest Line" means all of it, or do they literally mean ONLY the intro part of the full questline? Additionally, it would be cool for them to not test the other two Elemental Storms for funsies

Dracthyr and the prepatch events aren’t coming with the launch of prepatch.

They’re both coming in ‘stage 2’.
Which is probably the 8th of November

(SLs prepatch launched Oct 13ish with the prepatch event not starting until Nov 10th for reference… but we know prepatch is obviously gonna be shorter than SLs was.)

Maybe that's phase 3 of the pre-patch?

Phase 1, just the 10.0 patch.
Phase 2, Dracthyr
Phase 3, Events?

The datamined “what’s new” text I was talking about.
Looks like they’re gonna launch DE, Events, and Uldaman at the same time.

I do hope the delay between Phase 1 and 2 isn’t that long though. I’d prefer at most a week but I’m expecting two.

Assuming they didnt change their mind about the event lasting two weeks I think we will have to just accept waiting those two weeks.

In SL they switched both pre-expansion event and pre-season from 3 to 2 weeks, probably because all feels pretty dragged by week 3. But would be nice to start Evoker sooner (so week 1 - sorting out initial bugs, week 2 - evoker, week 4 - event).

Even without event pre-patch will be pretty good trade - we lose KSM/PVP mounts, but gain talents on top of borrowed power (cause it works inside Shadowlands) + every content become fated for 5 weeks. I hope they change few minor stuff too to help people with meta achiev (for example reducing Venthyr party cooldown from weekly to daily).

If this is true, this is a pretty clever way of explaining Galakrond's corruption. After all, Yogg said he was a god of death... and yet had no mention in the Shadowlands. God of Decay is close enough

This also ties Galakrond directly to the Emerald Dream, which Yogg corrupted which may explain why we need Ysera: Galakrond or his followers might try to kill the Dream with Decay
