It's really weird to me that they never utilized the classic Spirit healer model.
Would've made the Kyrians a bit more diverse, right now they just all look the same outside of armor differences.

Nvm that its also one of the most iconic models the game has, yet they completely ignored it.

Well one of the 9.1 followers is a spirit healer, but that's about it. In general the spirit healers should have gotten a bigger role imho, something like the collectors of souls around the cosmos as some kind of elite unit that is differentiated from the normal ferrying kyrians. As I said before, I would have made them collectors like Bwonsamdi (that would have given them some potential for clashes and therefore story as well). In general there are alot of missed opportunities here, like explaining why collecting souls is important in the first place, by showing that something bad happens with forgotten/abandoned spirits. That way Kyrian as a whole might not look as moronic..
You are welcome, Metzen. I hope you won't fuck up my underground expansion idea.

I'm aware, and I'm not saying people won't RP as them. People RP'd humans and Night Elves as high elves prior to Void Elves existing. I'm just saying that Kyrian are never going to actually look like spirit healers, because even the NPCs (with NPC options making them look more like spirit healers, options which the player will never have access to) do not look like spirit healers.

I don't care about looking like a spirit healer's original model. Clearly they're canonically kyrian anyway, it's just that blizz expanded that concept into an actual fleshed out race.
Please Blizzard, I /pray for playable winged kyrian. I'd like all 4 races, but kyrian is my main wish.

I think that was kind of the point. They wanted to convey that general uniformity. They didn't really consider that players might find that to be boring.

It reminds me of the Maw - it completely accomplished its goal of conveying a hellish realm to be avoided at all costs. They just forgot that they are also developing a video game that is supposed to be enjoyable.

I mean, this is not actually the case though? Kyrian's have a very strict hierarchy and the people at the top get to be unique as well, see Devos' unique armor for example, as well as the other paragons. Kleia and pelagos also have their own identifyable looks and both of them are practically trash tier. Uther gets his completely different looking face (only bearded Kyrian) that doesn't fit the other Kyrians at all. I think this is obviously more of a resource issue, as even the difference between ascened and adepts is quite massive, including armor and all that. Since spirit healers have their own tasks, having their own style seems natural, so it wouldn't really have hurt the universal Kyrian style imho.

Yea its a shame, it is very iconic. I mean both male and femsle are just made from the female Vrykul model. Stance position and animations are all the same.

I do hope its not a sign we would never get the real deal on Vrykul, but I have a feeling that ship has sailed..

It's a sign that Vrykul (or Drust) are more plausible than ever, since they would be on a playable character standard.

Afaik the classic Spirit Healer model has limited animations, right? Lorewise they are supposed to be Kyrians, although we didn't really get into their lore during Shadowlands, which is quite sad tbh.

They could have start you of as an acolyte, and then go through ascension about when you'd get your flying mount.

    I would play a Venthyr!

Gotta admit; I Forgot Mechagnome existed lol
I kinda enjoyed them, but got put off by the lack of beards and the hairstyles.

If they manage to pull of something cool with KT humans or mechagnomes I think I may acctually ditch going "high elf", so im excited to see where they are heading.

And now you got me thinking about being a skinny KT human survival-hunter

It's the same thing every speculation cycle since 2017 because leveling gets increasingly broken (funny how the squish didn't fix anything just swung to the other extreme) and factions keep being dangled in front of us then pulled away through some contrived BS.

Mechagnomes were possibly the biggest insult. Plans from Blizzard or not, I rarely, if ever, heard players crave Mechagnomes as an allied race unless it had some ludicrous class available like Druid.
What I did hear however was all the players who were desperate for Ankoan. Sure, they didnt have a female model, but that could have been a AR to rival Vulpera or Velf in popularity. Going around, being a kickass Ankoan hunter with snapdragon pets and everything. It could have been great.

Kul Tirans definitely need some more customization options in general though. Only having a handful of hairstyles and facial hair options is pretty shitty for an AR as unique.
A long shot would be to also get other colorations of the Heritage armor. Kul Tirans only having a blue coat despite all the variants that should be available is atrocious when considering Mag'har orcs got all the variants for no better reason than that they could. This is true for all ARs as well. Why is the only time I get to see the void variant of the Lightforged armor when I look at datamined stuff from 3 years back? Why can't I get to use it?
The world revamp dream will never die!

Updates to Mechagnome customization could be really awesome, they just need more features. Most importantly is fully-mechanical torsos and heads. People wanted Mechagnomes because they were cool Titan construct robo-gnomes, the cyborg concept is cool but in practice, pretty scary lol.

They also need support for extra armor models, that show up on gloves and pants and stuff.

Does anybody even play Mechagnome on retail? Admittedly I dipped not long after they released, but I think I saw like... two before I did.

Everyone was talking about Sethrak before it happened, still surprised after how many people wanted them Blizz never was like "yeah we'll add them in the future at some point."

As much as i loved Mechagon content, Mechagon gnomes where an absolute mistake.

They should've made the actual Mechagnomes, that we know and love, available.
Could've even involved Mimiron to do that.

I disagree on mechagnomes. Like, the concept was literally inspired by fan renders of that "subrace", depicting half gnomes, half mechas. So clearly it wasn't an insult to the community, quite the opposite.

There’s also a new Achievement coming in 9.1.5 for the most well-rounded champions of the Kirin Tor. Players who complete all seven of the Challenges on different characters across their Battle.net account will be rewarded with a unique flying mount: the Soaring Spelltome!
Doubtful I'll ever be able to complete this but it gives hope the other poll mount ideas could be made. Still want that slime cat.
