Turalyon is not becoming a villain. He'll be the Magni and Bolvar of the expansion about the Lightbound.

You say that but I'll point you to Il'gynoth.

The golden one claims a vacant throne. The crown of light will bring only darkness.

Whatever happened to Nathanos since his death in the pre-patch? Did I miss him in the Maw?

And I'll point you to Calia and the throne of Lordaeron.

Also the throne of Stormwind is legally not vacant. Anduin is still King. Turalyon is his Regent.

Old God lines like this are purposefully vague so you can take it any number of ways. Further it doesn't indicate that the person will be villainous, only that it will bring darkness. That could mean any number of things.

Tyrande taunted Sylvanas with his death, and Sylvanas was surprised. Tyrande further taunted her with how the Jailer kept her unaware of it.

    That's it.

    He's unused as of yet.
The last time we heard from him was when Tyrande mentioned his death in her fight against Sylvanas.

He's somewhere hidden in the Maw, that's it.

I assume he'll reappear before the end of the expansion then. Probably not happy about Sylvanas' change of heart (also her getting her soul back etc).

    Probably forged into a buttplug.

Jokes aside, it's assumed that he was turned into a crystal like many of the other souls. He could have been used during the forging of Anduin's mourneblade or gimp suit.
You are welcome, Metzen. I hope you won't fuck up my underground expansion idea.

You can read that multiple ways. It could be Calia claiming Lordaeron. It could be Turalyon championing the Void via his baby mama. I mean, surely Blizzard wouldn't write a prediction that is actually realized in the most blatantly obvious way. Right?

Do you really think writers care about these kind of bullshit accusations?
Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

Writers care too much about what the mouthbreathing majority of the fanbase thinks, sadly, and they do let them influence the story direction instead of going for their visions in some capacity.

Well, right now Anduin is stuck in another dimension under control of the enemy, and who knows what happens later.

Lol since when do WoW writers care? They certainly didn't give a toss when most people told them they are sick of Slyvanas.

Turalyon is WAY more of a symbol of the light than Calia is. Further, he is considered a legendary hero among the people of Stormwind, and one of the most revered and honored Paladins in lore. Hell, Turalyon was legendary even before WoW began.

That also makes him far more dangerous if he decides to go against Anduin, because you could very easily see scores of the Alliance's soldiers and Paladins joining him.

Because people are playing WORLD of Warcraft, not Universe of Warcraft. Yeah, venturing to other realms and dimensions is okay in moderation. However, people are drawn to Azeroth itself, and that's where the 99% of the story should be taking place. We shouldn't be planet-hopping from world to world punching literal gods in the face.

Also an expansion dealing with the Light and Dark really makes no sense. What's the end game? We defeat Shadow Lord, master of all Shadow magic? We going to be taking down the creator of literal gods now? Okay cool! So what do we do in the expansion after that? How do you top that big bad? We going to fight reality next?

Again, it's like a Star Wars story where we fight the literal Dark Side of the force and punch it in the face.

That's a non issue. Burning Crusade final boss was Legion second in command. We needed another xpac to take down Sarg. Light vs Dark can simply be us against mostly Light, for example. So Naaru and their zealots. That would easily fill most of enemy roster. No one says they have to immediately present biggest and baddest guy for us to defeat.

There's a difference between defeating a Demon lord and defeating a literal cosmic force. Again, once you get to that point, you enter a cycle of escalation that starts to unravel the lore of the game itself. We're really pushing it in Shadowlands.

So probably unrelated to the topic at hand but this is the third day now it's happened and I have to comment.

Does anyone else hate this new pseudo-Adult Swim twitter presence that WoW has?

Not sure what you are referring to, really not up to date on Twitter as a social medium. What exactly is it WoW is doing that makes it similar to Adult Swim?

The current change of communication strategy still lacks the 9.2 Preview + Future of World of Warcraft blog posts. It's why it feels so irritating and hollow.
I no longer reply to quotations beyond if you're asking a genuine question or have a non-confrontational stance.
