I'll help some by making them fall asleep. That'll be enough to fix it, right?"
    She had no real way of doing that, and while she didn't know what was going on, she knew that it was a critical issue and that the survival of Ardenweald is important to the greater universe. She also didn't do it lightly, and even without it, her "favorite children" would likely still have been dead.

    What, setting entire zones on fire, killing indiscriminately, blood sacrifices and all that don't count to you? I think you're missing a lot of Old God lore. Remember that N'zoth was also behind Cataclysm, with Deathwing as one of his pawns. And that's the modern, weakened and at the time still imprisoned Old Gods, not when they were at the height of their power.

    Or perhaps the new store mount is just that...a store mount. I don't believe we will see that model as a mob running around in a new expac. It is similar to the chinese rat, bull and dog mount. It looks cute that's all so people will buy it.
    But it is really fascinating to see what weird fantasy some mmo-champ users have.

    Every single expansion has been hinted at in the previous expansion with a store mount, without exception. It's not a fantasy, it's a possibility.

    We currently have 22 store mounts...11 of them are "mobs", 11 are not...so I'd likely take that phoenix thing we got a while ago as the foreshadowing of a new expac...but surely not a cat.

    With the Elune not being able to help her chosen children. Honestly something is missing that we don't know yet.

    Both seem to have the sun/moon theme going on, and there is a sun phoenix mount recolor with the same model somewhere in the files, so I think it could be pointing to something like that, but I would want a cosmic break for at least one expansion before they do it.

    Nothing is missing, it's just bad/awkward writing we will have to move on and get over. Much like Sylvanas' story and inevitable redemption.

    Fae Netherdrake -> Warlords of Draenor (Shadowmoon Valley)
    Mythic Runesaber -> Legion (Suramar)
    Dreadwake -> BFA
    Sylvan Dreamer -> Shadowlands (Ardenweald)

    (Dreadwake doesn't fit with the rest in that it didn't become avaliable till after the expansion was revealed but it was encrypted before that, & it was offered as part of the 6 month sub, unlike all these other mounts. SO I guess you could say BFA is the exception.)

    They're outside her sphere of influence. There's nothing missing.

    She CHOSE not to. That was the whole point. I think the detail about that is more infuriating is Elune was going to let Tyrande die so she could get vengeance over something that was part of Elune's "Great" plan. (Night Elves went 10,000 years without any major calamity, if it wasn\t this, she just wasn't going to help her sister. Acknowledge that.)

    They should've used the cinematic to establish boundaries to her powers.
    As is, it just looks like she could've done more but didn't cause "welp sucks, though sis could use some of you".

    Something like "i couldn't keep them, its not my domain/my influence was dwindling! so i sent them to you sister, for i knew you'd care for them and they shall care for you in turn" would've been better than what we got.

    And without exception, none of them gave us any clue about the theme of the expansion. If anything, they were better suited to misleading until we got the context they appear in.

    That's why I was quessing Something big with Silvermoon: Sun, Lynxes & Phoenixes are all very Silvermoon.

    All of them were used as generic zone mobs, so it wont give us much information, but it could give some clues. I don't even think the Cat will be one of them though, the Phoenix is much more likely, I also don't see another store mount being added for quite some time, so this is probably the last one before 10.0 is announced.

    War of the Shifting Sands? That was only about a millenia before WoW. Elune didn't meddle near as much as people seem to think.

    Well, my theory was a raid tier entirely about the Battle for Ardenweald & Elune was the one that was cut. Before Covid, Sanctum was intended to be 9.2

    I wouldn't call a war of aggression that lasted 3 weeks as a major calamity

    Based on that, we should actually dismiss the seemingly obvious connections, since they were generally minor things as well. The feathered dragons and fae dragons had next to no relevance in their respective expansions, and while the Nightborne had at least some relevancy in Legion, had they been shown on their own one'd likely have drawn completely incorrect conclusions regarding what the expansion was about.

    That's more than the attack on Teldrassil in BfA.

    WoW has nothing going on right now except emote removals, lawsuits and some customization/qol coming next week, speculating about the mobs next expansion isn't gonna be much but it's at least something positive.

    I wonder if they dropped the Quel'thalas Warfront idea to make a Quel'thalas expansion. Perhaps instead of updating the whole world at once Cata style, they are choosing to do subcontinent expansion updates?

    Yeah but there are plenty of store mounts to choose from.

    Well, for mounts added in SL, it's between the Phoenix and the Furline, excluding the new year mounts for obvious reasons. I think both of them have a similar sun/moon theme so maybe it's both, but if I had to pick between the two I'd lean much more towards the phoenix.

    I don't know why so many people expect Elune to have known the source of the Anima drought, and that all souls were going straight to the Maw when the Eternal Ones (at least the ones that weren't directly responsible for it) didn't know either. That is a ridiculous assumption.
