Most people have been saying it’s “no excuse” for Blizz while also ignoring how fuckall games released in the past two years. Most of the games that came out had been in development hell already, like Psychonauts 2.

Why consider real life stuff when you could spend that time being angry at Blizzard instead?

COVID was an issue last year. Everyone else was able to catch up, just Blizzard did not. So please, for the sake of everything that's holy, y'all stop using the lame and poor COVID excuse for Blizzard's pathetic performance this year.

As we know "excuses" stop being valid when they become lame and overused not when crisis ends. xD

Not to mention people are not saying it's one thing that caused current fucked up situation, but it's always must be black & white for you.

So like what, Blizz just randomly lost the capability of releasing content at steady pace?

Something's not right at the studio, yes. And COVID for sure is not the sole reason for that. Bad management, poor leadership, brain drain, who knows. But to excuse and blame all of their issues on COVID is laughable.

I mean its not like the consequences of said crisis are go-oh wait they aren't. Whatever schedule was going on around march 2020, even today supply chain issues are still a thing.

Oh, but you just said 5 min ago COVID excuse is not valid any more. Now it is, but it's just one of many?

XIV surely wasn’t getting much in the way of updates, neither was ESO to my knowledge save for the usual very small expansion. And that’s just other MMOs. Nintendo also barely released anything substantial (despite Dread being good), so... not sure about the catch up you’re talking about

I mean, people were instantly saying Sylvi book delay was due to some ulterior motive, when material shortage is a thing.

Yeah people still can’t buy a PS5 and Xbox X for gods sake, and don’t get me started on graphics cards. The world isn’t “fixed”.

And now car industry reduces production due to chips shortage. But hey, #incompetentblizz.

Yeah, because it isn't. But you can keep shilling for Blizzard and use COVID as an excuse for their poor performance, it really doesn't matter.

Wow, trying to bring the microchip crisis into this discussion, that's a new level.

Both is not correct. FFXIV had one delayed content patch and besides that delivered everything as usual. Plus a massive expansion in three weeks. ESO has its usual 4 DLC content cycle like all of the last years, with the expansion thrown into the mix - nothing didn't change except a delay of a few weeks here and there. Nintendo did release what they wanted to release, there was nothing severely delayed due to COVID. Games got delayed because of COVID last year or very early this year.

Nah, it's all Blizz fault. COVID is sooo last year.

You would have a better argument if you showed which companies “got used to it” because basically everyone is underperforming right now.

  17. #10297
Well whatever they do, i hope at least they will not put huge amounts of content behind features like covenants again. That the bosses at Blizz thought this was a good idea... crazy. If all that content was one large consistent questline and covenants only for "cosmetics&fluff" it would have been much better. Im getting angry thinking about it even after 1 year of Shadowlands...

No? As I said, FFXIV and ESO still delivered what they aimed to deliver with some short(er) delays. In regards of MMORPG that are the two games that matter in this comparison.

For ESO you can check this: https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/updates - they got their usual 4 DLCs, as I said.

    Anduin…definitely is wtf?

When you think of an Emerald Dream, you think only of a green forest and a red Emerald Nightmare. There could be much more to it than that. It could encompass various dream and creation myths and involve much more than just Elune and Ysera.

As for the Black Empire, why do you think they added so many new art assets in 8.3?

Well, there were a lot of light and Void themes as well.
All of which were implied to occur after Zovaal.

Fair point, but ESOs DLCs are laughably small. XIV I would have to look into as I only heard about offhand.
