The world revamp dream will never die!
That's why it's not a complete existence. A "pure" deathworld would be inconceivable. The Shadowlands is "controlled" by the Death Forces, but there is still the fleeting presence of the other forces: Shadow & Light in Revendreth, The Nightmare in the Emerald Dream, Azeroth is full of representation by all the cosmic forces. etc.
This is evidence that the Titans were telling the Truth when they said the "Ordered" the universe, in an attempt to separate these forces the best they could. Likely long after the First Ones existed.

And hey, would you look at that. Page 600. This thread has really does up massively since the ending of Shadowlands became a talking point.

Consumer rights begone! Only end the expansion so we can move to the next expansion that ends on x.2 patch!
*Heavy sarcasm*
I no longer reply to quotations beyond if you're asking a genuine question or have a non-confrontational stance.
The train is ready to start, everyone has their ticket and is properly seated?
There is still time but its not definite.

I think a pure death world would have been easily possible. They could have just played up the vampiric/parasitic angle of the flora and fauna and just scrapped the cute baby animals that clearly are part of families. The local flora and fauna comes into being when anima converges and soul fragments or something like that are present, from there it's just a fight to get anima from others to sustain oneself.
I personally would have also gone way further with the idea of a machine of death and would have inserted a place where the arbiter sorts souls and takes a first amount of the anima and afterwards each covenant has it's own way to strip the rest of the anima off the soul, before they get the chance to earn an anima formed body over the eons. Kyrians would be more soul sheperds/collectors while stupid machines (like the arbiter) would do the actual ferrying (to circumvent the kyrians being absolute morons), etc. Ardenweald should have been an actual autum/winter kingdom where life is not abundant, but rests in preparation for it's rebirth.
The shadowlands lore, if you want to, is actually fixable without handwaiving and flimsy excuses.
You are welcome, Metzen. I hope you won't fuck up my underground expansion idea.
Could you imagine if Blizzard released a raid or dungeon that worked kinda like the old megadungeon like BlackRock depths, or Maraudon?
Just a giant labyrinth of bosses with the most simple if mechanics, rarely more than one, and generally just a giant loot avalanche?
M+ having to be split up into 3 or 4 parts just to prevent dungeons that take 1-2 hours?

Obviously. The hype never dies.
Could be we only get an announcement for the actual 9.2 announcement stream though.
That being said it's almost definitely going to be something happening this week.

We'll obviously have a video before, it's the last patch of SL. Maybe today who knows, they usually love Tuesday
Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

There are just different degrees of adjustments required.
"Oh look, a few blood elves deserted after juicing on void magic, guess we could take them in"
vs.
"Oh look, the dead decided to come back from the afterlife and decided to help us fight our battles, sift through our shit and sweep our streets"

People be saying that Shadowlands writing sucks but then mention that it would be epic if 9.2 was in Northrend, in the same sentence![]()
