Kind of. It might look like more than just coincidence if the extra squares were coming off of the sides instead of the corners.

Hey! Now that you mention it, those extra squares DO line up with Shadow and Light on the new Broker-Perspective chart.

And the Two Triangles being Life and Death makes sense, their separation highlighting their importance.

Why is everyone saying Zereth Mortis is Azeroth? That makes literally no sense. You guys do realize Azeroth could just be the thing Zovaal is tryna get to after he unlocks the Sepulcher, yeah? Hell, my literal assumption is that once we reach the very pinnacle of the Sepulcher, we'll see Zovaal tryna pull Azeroth through a portal in a cool ass skybox.

Zereth seems to mean Keystone. It sounds like Azeroth and according to all the lore, Azeroth is the center of everything. If Death and Life are two sides of the same thing...maybe Zereth Mortis is the other face of Azeroth. The Keystone of Death...and the Keystone of Life?

Every place may have a keystone, and we still have the Dragon Isles to explore. Whatever you may think, Azeroth being within the center doesn't automatically mean it HAS to have the Sepulcher in it. And Zereth Mortis is NOT Azeroth, as Azeroth's not a realm.

    - - - Updated - - -

Besides, didn't Zovaal want Azeroth LONG before he knew of the Sepulcher's Location?

    - - - Updated - - -

Imo, it'd be such a disappointment if we waited all this time just for the Sepulcher to be on Azeroth. Would ruin the mystery for why Zereth Mortis is such a forbidden place.

    Zereth Mortis..

Mortis... Rigor mortis (Latin: rigor "stiffness", and mortis "of death"), or postmortem rigidity, is the third stage of death.

" At the hour of her third death, she ushers in our coming"

You guys do realize Mortis doesn't have to mean anything Death related, yes? It is pretty neat, considering this is the Life/Death (Namely Death) Expansion...but like...

It's linked with the cycle, yes. But people are taking it too literal, as Mortis isn't just related to Life and Death.

I did say Azeroth can still be connected with it, no?

I'm sorry, why should anyone think that a piece of Star Wars lore will be related to something in WoW?

Because it also shares similar stuff to WoW's stuff? Not to mention, WoW takes from LOTS of genres and franchises. So...

Mortis is just a latin word for death.

what are the chances they also do a small tease for 10.0 by showing the logo or xpac name? it's safe to say they are already quite far into development so they would have something to tease, right. maybe more likely too bc no blizzcon next year

Or perhaps it means something completely different given that latin doesn't exist in warcraft. we just don't know. Could be latin, could be not.

I doubt it, at least not so soon. That would be using too much excitement too soon. They'll likely try to use tomorrow to build up excitement for 9.2, get some feedback, & announce a PTR. We'll likely see hints for 10.0 in 9.2, we've probably already seen them. But I wouldn't expect a tease for 10.0 until next Feb at the earliest, at least nothing to the extent of a logo or name.

Given that the announcement says that they will be talking about "the next Shadowlands content update" and the fact that announcing anything, even just the logo or name, for the next expansion would hurt the hype for 9.2, I'd say chances for any reveals regarding 10.0 are very small.

Blizzard are made of humans living on planet Earth. They used the latin word for Death in death themed expansion because it is the latin word of death.

Things don't exist and much less are made in cultural vacuum.

    I know that

I’m saying it can also mean other things too
