Tbh, I'll never EVER understand why people glorify Legion that much.
Imo, it was 1 of the worst exps. It's the point where it all went EXTREMELY downhill.
borrowed power grinds
rng legendary items
COMPELTELY ruined pvp
completely ruined professions (crafting especially)
community boosting shit-fest came live in that expansion
removed pvp/pve vendors
introduced countless ilvls per patch (from 2 'tier sets' per patch, up to 4+ )
DESTROYED/homogenized classes.....
etc, etc, etc...
I don't think Legion was THAT bad, but it was shat on despite what MMO-Champion forums have you believe.

Because Legion had SHITTON of quality content all the way from great raids and dungeons, introduction of M+, class questlines with unique weapons/halls, new class AND it had some amazing areas with Suramar.
That expansion was huge.
The stuff you mention are mostly mechanical issues, but it does not change the fact that Legion was amazing expansion overall.
One of the worst? Bruh... what are you even smoking.
All these tremendous system changes you call "mechanical issues"?
I didn't smoke anything. Can't we just agree to disagree?
About class halls and class quests + Suramar questline- I agree completely. It was GREAT thing to do (even lorewise some campaigns were beyond crap (paladin especially)). Suramar was beautiful. Yes. But, pretty much, that's all of it. 7.2 was huge letdown imo.
Dungeons and raids were awesome in every single expansion so far. Yes, even in WOD.
But honestly, I pref CM over M+.

dungeons and raids were EPIC in WOD
pvp was EPIC
class design was COOL (downgrade from MOP, yes. but 100x better than Legion).
Also, WOD have brought us new race models. Why no one ever mentions that?
Some of us aren't hating WoD, merely pointing out how people saw the expansion.
Edit: No I wouldn't say WoD=Great design

WoD is pure unfiltered greatness compared to Shadowlands.
Watch the in-game cinematic trailer and tell me that doesn't move you, it's filled to the brim with soul and passion and feels like WARCRAFT:

Fucking preach, though I don't know if I would even call it lack of content. More like discarded content. If Blizz had actually developed the content we had seen in the earlier builds, especially following a similar format they used in MoP, instead of focusing so much on garrisons, there would have been enough fantastic quality content and story to last 2.5 years. Maybe even 3.
YES! YES! I remember how everyone was LOVING WoD between it launched and 6.2 drought! These amazing dailies, Ashran, awesome reps with simple design of mob grinding (and simple rewards like 50 reskins of boars and wolves), dungeons that were left in dirt after 3 weeks as they should be and king of good design - Garrison! Also, how I miss my Arms Warrior with 2 buttons, what a time to be alive. Only problem was we didn't have MORE of these!
Jesus Christ people, shit you wrote is so ridicolous that only sarcasm mode 24/7 let you cope with this. Soon we will need WoD Classic to show people that no, it wasn't great design xD.
People will be asking for SL Classic one day too
WoD was awful from the first day to the second week and then from the 4th week until the end. In the beginning it was so borked and overrun many couldn't play, then we had a short respite with leveling which was good and then it fell over the edge with endgame being a lame unless you really liked playing the garrison facebook game and/or raiding the 3 raids. Seriously, if it weren't for the leveling being decent and some people glorifing the raiding to no end, no one would even want to remember that expansion.
You are welcome, Metzen. I hope you won't fuck up my underground expansion idea.
I see dragons... just saying ^^
Packs.. of dragons.
