The zones, if anything, are too close to original zones as-is. For a completely different plane of (un)existence it is remarkably normal to Warcraft's aesthetic.

This "NOt warcraft" is basically Anything that didn't spawn WCIII is somehow bad. People miss the point.

It's because they're going into a cosmic/alien aesthetic which is a departure from the high fantasy aesthetic that we're used to. So yeah, it looks good, but it doesn't look like Warcraft. Casual reminder we had a sci-fi space zone in BC, where goblins wanted to shoot a rocket into Nether, where we raided a literall space ship, and where part of that ship crash landed on Azeroth and brought us a new, space traveling race. Well I never said I didn't like it, but I am indifferent towards it. It doesn't instill a sense of wonder like Pandaria, the Broken Isles, Zandalar or Kul'Tiras did. I know that WoW has sci-fi elements within it, but I would argue that 9.2's setting goes beyond even the stuff we saw in BC or Legion. Originally Posted by Makabreska

Non-argument. Metzen literally thought up the world and its characters. It's his brainchild. Metzen is literally the author of Warcraft. Danuser coming in is akin to Christopher Tolkien trying to finish his father's work. Sure, it can be done. It's just not actually the world of LOTR but fanfiction. Originally Posted by Makabreska
