Again, read the original TTRPG. Dragonsworn are established classes that swear allegiance to a dragonflight, and the flight bestows draconic abilities upon them. I do believe one of the examples from the TTRPG was a Paladin who is given the ability of draconic fire breath. How is that not similar to a Paladin granted Door of Shadows or Fleshcraft in Shadowlands?

Also all the bolts are basically Fireball Frostbolt Arcane Missile etc
Hardened Scales is like Ironfur for Druids so if Nelf can shapeshift...and Worgens which are Humans can...
Healing Breath is like any Mistwalker healing empowered by yu lon which is a wild gods that looks like a drake because is a reference so i mean...is possible a dragonsworn

By the way ANY mortal we see in WoW working with dragons is mostly a dragonsworn mortal.

No lore? Seriously?

And that's barely scratching the surface.
In addition we have this;

https://heroesofthestorm.com/en-us/heroes/deathwing/
See above. The actual name of the class is completely up to Blizzard.Yes, and how much actual lore is there for a class called "Dragon"?
That is part of the argument. The other part is that it sounds more like a covenant addition than a class. Keep in mind that the TTRPG allowed for prestige classes, where you can have a base class and take on a "prestige class" and get additional abilities. While very similar to FFXIV, WoW's class system simply doesn't operate in that fashion.

There are 2 way
1. Blizzard introduce a "Dragon" class with 4 specs and sets that any "Dragon" is half-dragon half-mortal or is like Worgen that can shapeshift from Dragon to the desired form (like chromie) which could be quite interesting and inclusive if you can decide to change your own "mortal" race when you feel it - according to your faction so no Tauren then Gnome.
2. New System like Covenants but way better not this hot garbage ion. The real issue would be that if you join the Red one and learn their signature spells you cant use the other ones, is like if Natsu Dragneel got trained by a fire drake and start using ice dragon magic
UNLESS
We introduce a wannabe dragon soul artifact later in 10.1 (no mid exp no end exp dumb dev monkeys) that gives you the ability to collect and use all the dragonflights power (by swapping like HoA essences) so you are a Red Dragonswarn Warrior but then decide to swap to Black Dragonswarn Warrior because you need to tank or there is something better for that kind of content.
They can rename abilities if needed
Multiple classes have the same abilities only slightly changed
Druids and worgens are just mortal races using different abilities to change while the only apparently accepted idea of dragonsworn is like a guardian Druid popping a CD that makes them a nelf
Covenant System with Dragonflights would be very popular among the Mainstream Audience and it could let the developers prove themselves once more that they truly are geniuses that should be worshipped.
Also it fits with the need for a Box Feature that can sell copies from the Marketing side.
I will definitely not be surprised if they tripled down with Systems in the next expansion.

I no longer reply to quotations beyond if you're asking a genuine question or have a non-confrontational stance.

Idc if they can rename abilities, Dragon's Breath exist has a Dragon animation hence exist as spell, same for the other you named.
Druid can hardern their fur? Demon Hunter can pop spikes as def? Nice, Dragonsworn do the exact same mechanic. Nothing absurd
Also both Dragon and Dragonsworn are mortal like Druids and Worgens

Ye I quote

At the end of the day Blizzard just need to make the RPG canon and slurp all the stuff from it and pour into the game since they are not able to came out with a proper original and working idea since Orgrila dailies.
That's pretty much how I see them doing it. In Shadowlands you also couldn't use the covenant abilities from more than one group, so you had to choose which to side with so that you could use their abilities. I could totally see draconic abilities going the same route. They could even title the system "Dragonsworn".
The problem is that we REALLY need a new class in WoW. I simply don't see Blizzard allowing WoW to go without a new class for 8 years. The six years since Demon Hunters has really been stretching it.

That isnt a real problem, because is just a self-made problem by Blizzard that is too stupid to cuck themself with the "bbbbut we need to make a new class related to the content"
Said no one ever. Not even FF follow this rule stricly.
Just release WoW 10.x Jailer Return with Tinker as class and dragonsworn as system, nobody will bother
I agree that Dragonsworn will most likely be a revised and polished covenant system for the dragon isles. And yes, you're right that WoW is in desperate need for a new class.
Which is the basis for my line of reasoning in which we will get Tinkers for 10.0, even if its dragon isles. Especially since no other class has priority. So yeah, Undermine will probably be the new Hub that has transport to the isles via the Tinker's Union and MOTHER/Wrathion.
I don't know, I don't think any idea around the Dragon Isles have been interesting. There's no plot point beyond "lol Remove Age of Mortals" and "oh no Galakrond is revived and we need to stop him by going to the Dragon Isles".
Both of these are silly.
There's no actual plot and unlike Mists of Pandaria, there's no actual threat beyond turning Turalyon into a genocidal maniac and it will be very boring.

So because it’s a prestige class it can’t be changed to a core class
If only we had another example that we can pull from…oh wait we do
Then the argument becomes the WC3 units which we can then say “well why wasn’t this unit made into a class”
Then you jump to “well that doesn’t work because there’s a huge overlap with other classes” which gets covered with how multiple classes get reworked or are very similar in the base of it just look at Ret paladin and WW with builder spender style
But no even in a thread about speculation it can’t be different it can’t exist because it’s too much of a stretch and thus won’t work but if it’s turned on you then it’s awful. So please for the love of all that is holy just let something exist in a thread

There was no plot in BFA and SL either.
At least Draon Isles are something present in the WoW universe since Vanilla and even before, we have multiple hints in the game and currently 1 in the last book from Zappiboi PoV
Galakrond also I fear it was a Jailer project pre LK.
Also no need to revive Galakrond when we can use Infinite Dragonlights medling again just like any other istance in CoT we go back helping the Aspect beating Galakrond ez.
