If they want to be accused of ripping off FFXIV forever: Endwalker is literally about the soul of the planet waking up & taking human form

You know what they could do? They could make Azeroth=Elune and make it so that Elune was constrained and her power was diminished that's why she couldn't help the Night Elves or affect the world for the better as much, leading into finally us having to meet her and destroy her manifestation somehow "for the greater good".

Don't say it won't happen, anything could happen with this story team. Actually this is giving them ideas and let them please not focus on Elune etc. anymore since they have done a great job of butchering the characters and mythology of Warcraft already. If you're a fan of a particular part of Warcraft, pray they don't lay their finger on it.

Even I, who don't play the game understood that Hydaelyn is not the world soul but the creator of the world itself. Anyway, both stories have nothing in common, if Azeroth being given physical form is too much for the new ff14 fanboys then just move along...

Entering the living world only makes sense when we're outside of that, aka not in / on Azeroth, but for example in the Shadowlands.

Yeah, it makes sense that it's either the time we leave the Shadowlands (at the end of the expansion) and come back to Azeroth or if the next expansion is taking place on another plane / realm than Azeroth (I hope it's the former and not the latter).

Yeah, it's beyond me why they copied so much of FFXIVs major plot in the last expansion(s). It really feels like a cheap rip off.

Then you're wrong because Hydaelyn is the sentient crystal who lives at the center of the planet, and that crystal extends through the entire planet, even at the surface. Yeah they probably cribbed some of that originally from WoW's worldsoul lore but for over a year it was apparent FFXIV was doing the whole "planet soul wake up" storyline.

Azeroth birth/awakening is obvious future event since she (it?) was revealed as titan soul.

    What exactly did they copy?

Not digging any of this fantasci-fi stuff at all. These mounts do not do anything for me. So tired of Shadowlands. Go back to Warcraft.

Huh? It is only in 9.2 of SL that we started getting this style of Proginator mount, all before that is either Domination based, covenant styled or a random offshoot theme. While I agree that the mounts are nothing special I don't see how you can be tired of them as they aren't in the live game yet at all.

He's shitting on the game. I'm not a fan of the mount but I have specific tastes and yes SL is Warcraft despite what people like him say.

I never fully understood the dislike of "scifi" stuff in the games.

Its like Arthur C. Clarke's Third Law, "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic".

Yeah its got a bit of a techno coating but can easily pass as magic, too.

Golems and Robots, flying castles and spaceships, etc.

I think there's a fine line and Warcraft did cross that way too much in the last years. TBC was great and totally fit the Warcraft universe, Legion was already borderline. But Shadowlands is just another level, but that's no new complaint.

Steve just went too close into the territory of Simulation Theory and while some of us (like me) enjoy this Crackpot Theory. Many don't and won't.
I no longer reply to quotations beyond if you're asking a genuine question or have a non-confrontational stance.

I mean, TBC had the Exodar complete with cryostasis pods, Tempest Keep, etc.

As I like to say, this is a game that started with Green Men from "Mars" invading via a Stargate.

    Scifi, fantasy, its all perspective.

Yeah but TBC is okay to them because OLD GOOD NEW BAD. Let's just ignore that vanilla had titans and origination lore and that SciFi has been part of the Warcraft fabric since day one.
Perspective I guess. /shrug theres always been some weird stuff in Warcraft

Pretty sure he is just tired of Shadowlands as a whole, and just isn't generally a fan of sci-fi mounts or elements as a whole within Warcraft.

You know, as his post layout suggests.
