It depends on if Blizzard does variety well. I could see people loving a K'Aresh expansion, for instance, because it could have a wide variety of environments. Unless we're simply going to be fully invading the Void for whatever reason, I could see K'Aresh full of amazing and fascinating zones.
One Void-infested desert zone in eternal, starry night, one very alien zone (not halfway like Zereth Mortis, actually and fascinatingly alien—think more like Outland's prettier zones like Nagrand), one zone which may be on the border of the Void and is therefore all the way with the aesthetic, full of mutated wildlife and with purple skies spangled with stars, one zone that could be full of Old God-like imagery and made of flesh, one zone that could look kind of like Turkey with dry steppes and even a Taiga to complete the Middle East theme and give a break from the Void, and a zone that looks like it's a massive, ancient city full of old technology.
Don't forget about Galakrond's Fall, another great and mysterious map where they filled in the dragon shrines (added in 8.2).

But don't you understand? Alleria isn't an envious and dangerous lunatic who is consistently presenting the risk of sending the Alliance into a maelstrom of unnatural and aberrant magicks—no, no! She's simply the first mortal to defy the shadow's whispers, the savior of the Elven race, the leader (Umbric who?) of the majestic, beautiful, enigmatic, brilliant, glorious, synonymous, exquisitely inscrutable, Delphic, arcane and insoluble (insert continuous Pleonasm here), etc. Ren'Dorei, who are absolutely not a coterie of extraordinarily misguided time bombs delving into powers that they inevitably will prove unable to control because they've never read a Lovecraft story before and the only reason they haven't all turned into loot pinatas is because Blizzard needs to commit to a race when they add it.
Obviously, you simply need to be Varodocpilled.

The issue with SL is it still followed basic patterns. The border for the title does not emerge from the primary body of the logo, it is very horizontal, and the light emanating from the logo was only on the main body and not the title.

Didn't we already debunk this one several times over?

That's probably what the creator of the logo wanted it to suggest. However, the exact similarity is what makes me figure it's fake—it also does seem odd that the logo maker, who is clearly very talented, would both to copy an asset from an older expansion logo if they simply could have drawn a new one. They either may have gotten lazy, gotten too specific with the reference in trying to make it look as precise as possible, or they wanted to deliberately have a sort of "signature" to prove it's fake later down the line.

I maintain it's for a flashback sequence to the Aspects fighting Galakrond. It could be a Caverns of Time raid, but I figure that another dungeon set in Dragonblight would be too much reuse of assets after Dragon Soul, Hour of Twilight and End Time all used Dragonblight as a staging ground. We also haven't seen a Caverns of Time in a very long while, but that could simply be chalked up to the lack of need for it—a Dragon expansion would be the perfect time to reintroduce them.

Looking closer, there are more differences than I thought. It has two, differently-shaped smaller cracks emerging from it, as opposed to a single one like Cataclysm. It is also smoother and tapers off more quickly. The bit where it gets less horizontal is also only on one side for Cataclysm, but is on two for the other logo.

If this is fake it has to be one of the best fakes ever made. It really does look like a legit WoW logo. The border textures are very unique but follows the same style (just compare it to the other logos) and it has so many small details. It's obviously void vs light themed as well with all the voidy stars in the background and the shining light beams on the bottom text.
And whoever made this understands colors very well. I honestly can't find any flaws with it.
That said it could still just be that someone took the time to make a really good fake. Does anyone know where it's from?
Edit: Someone pointed out that both BFA and SL logos are actually properly 3D rendered, and this one does not look to be made the same way. That means it's probably fake. Still, an extremely good attempt.

They're not going to announce an expansion Empire of Dragons (EoD) the year GW2 releases their expansion End of Dragons (EoD).
I am not a Blizzard employee and I won’t risk saying what the position the person who told me this has. I don’t know the name of the expansion, its announcement date or release date.
The next expansion is focused on a now actively antagonistic Elune (likely corrupted - the goal is to help fix her, not kill her) changing history in the Kaldorei Empire. This is an actual time travel expansion and is actually set in our reality, not an AU, and is planned to lead to a soft reboot of the lore. The new landmass/dimension is called Eldre’thalas (the old name for Dire Maul is being repurposed as the name for the Kaldorei Empire). It is not the entirety of Ancient Kalimdor, just a section of it. There are eight dungeons at launch, two for each zone. The first raid is the savannah capital of the anshiir (lion/cat race).
The main enemy is Elune’s Moonforged forces. Minor enemies include the Nightmare (a subsection of Elune’s forces now – Light themed), the Infinite Dragonflight, a breakaway Silithid hive and an empire of Anshiir. Main characters in this expansion that we’ve already met before are Tyrande (main timeline Tyrande is a friend while past Tyrande is an antagonist), Kaldorei Queen Azshara, Ysera, Malfurion, and Illidan.
The main city is Zin’Azshari and it is neutral to both factions. It is located at the eastern reach of the continent. Apparently none of the Legion zones are here (Suramar/Val’sharah/Azsuna) since they’d look too similar in this timeline. The few zones that we’ve seen before (Nazjatar, parts of Kalimdor) look even more different than the Draenor zones did compared to Outland.
New allied races based on extinct or critically endangered races found in the past. All of the allied races are neutral and can pick either faction. The ones I know about are dark trolls (they now look more like savage night elves with tusks), anshiir (a cat race with both ‘furry’ and humanoid versions playable - both count as the same race), titanborne (large stone people that are like bulkier vrykul) and potamu (Indian-inspired rhino-like race). There are less planned for 10.0 than were in BFA and I don’t know how many will actually be available at launch. There’s also minor new class customization in the vein of the green fire warlock stuff.
The main new advancement system is companions. You pick from one of five possible companions who you level up through different tasks and by collecting a new currency to spend on them. They each have their own skill tree which powers you up through them. They also join you in combat out in the world (NOT in instances). You have to gear your companion the same way you gear yourself. To others they appear as a no-name of the same general theme. The options are the Stormrage Brothers (as far as gear goes, they’re the same person), an honorbound exiled potamu warrior, a cured moonforged Titanborne, a highborne warlock lord, and dark troll “proto-monk.”
There are no Dragon Isles at launch, nor is there a big Light presence (outside of the Light being the likely force behind Elune’s actions).
I won’t answer any questions until after the official announcement.
