Really? In 9 month of the virus, you got more from Trump? And if it weren’t for Trump, you would have gotten 1200 in the summer and then 2000 in winter. Not a single GOP member voted for this stimulus, how many democrats voted for it? When Trump signed the two stimulus before it, did democrats fight him, because they just hate Trump?

‘Trump gave me more money last year’... ‘why ya’ll call me a Trump supporter’...

Additional, WTF would I fear something I support? I swear you make zero sense all the damn time. If anything the slow transition to $15 will come too late. It was need to be $15 five years ago. Or is this more of your dishonest representation of myself, my views, and my politics?
Now say... Trump and GOP will get me 15$ per hour...

Democrats backed even the likes of Trump, to get Americans money... GOP won’t do that... no mater how much credit you give Trump.

Edit: You want minimum wage hike, voting rights act, public option... you vote in 2022. You want to celebrate how much Trump gave you... do nothing... complain about democrats not doing as much for the people as Trump. Go ahead...

Edit 2: If more people did what Jetti encouraged, by telling people not to vote and pretending that negative reactions to abstaining from voting, was horrible vote shaming. There would be no stimulus... there wouldn’t even be a discussion of a minimum wage hike... there wouldn’t be vaccine for every adult by May first... there wouldn’t be HR1... there wouldn’t be the end of keystone pipe line...

Now please tell me... would not voting for democrat, been a mistake?

Stating facts for the Orange Wife Beater narcasist, does not make me a "Trump Supporter". You realize that right? Are you capable of understanding that?

WTF would I say that? You just said that, in an attempt to put words in my mouth. Not exactly the first time you would have done it. Not that i'm surprised anymore. So keep fucking lying, and proving my point that this forum is full of a bunch of sycophants for the Team Blue.

I vote on the canidates, not by party. Only mindless drones vote along party lines without looking who they are voting for. Also I won't be surprised at all if the Democrats lose both the House and Senate. They got a long way to go if they want to hold either.

No, you are not stating facts. You are trying to give credit to a man that necessitated the need for more stimulus. The man who fought the stimulus you give him credit for, until workers rights were hampered and billionaires got hand out. In your hate for democrats, you just gave credit to someone who impeded and reversed, every single policy you claim to support.

If I were Australian, I’d call it the boomerang... is there something colloquially equivalent in US?

Let me restate it in the bold and proud way you might find more endearing... Now say... Previous administration would have given me 15$ minimum wage... you can skirt saying the T word that way... go ahead...

Yes, because this isn’t a single individual... there are literally people who will pull bullshit like Trump giving them more money, to discourage voting... You know how I know that?

I got more then $1400 last year. That is a fact. Just because it makes you upset doesn't change that and it doesn't make me a Trump supporter.

This is so obnoxiously ridiculous, I must respond again... Me telling you to say something, isn’t putting words in your mouth. I don’t have super powers... when I say... ‘say blablabla’... I am not casting spell... or... am I? *cat sound*

Great example of me lying... I can assume this is what you consider lying in general... a failed incantation...

It seemed like something you would say, considering your praise for the previous administration.

You're are also a liar because you constantly paint me as a Trump supporter as many of on here do. That is why I call you a Liar, and I would do it to your face or anyone else who does exact same thing.

So you got more from a bipartisan Congress and a Republican president over 9 months, than you have under a Democratic Congress/president in 2 months?

Why is how much money you, personally, receive the measure of success for this recovery package?

And you realize it's not "from Trump", it's from Congress, not the executive branch. Just like this check isn't "from Biden", and doesn't even have his name on it.

This is the first attempt to pass it, why do y'all act like it's dead after it wasn't voted on? I mean, why is it different than this than with the "Force the Vote" for M4A? Wouldn't a failure there have also totally killed the movement or something? Sanders has already said he's going to be pushing for it. Other Democrats remain supportive of it and would likely back a push separately when they can.

I mean, to hear some folks you'd think one of the most progressive pieces of legislation in decades wasn't just signed into law.

I am very sorry that you consider me pointing out that complaining about democrats and Biden, while giving the previous administration credit... feels like “baiting”... it simply doesn’t leave much room for that credit to be received, but from Trump and GOP. The reason am including ridiculous shit, is to emphasize how ridiculous such an assertion, in context of Biden signing a stimulus, actually is.

Just think about it for just a second... Not giving democrats credit... who are you then giving credit to, in the previous administration?

Just to be clear... If I ever wanted to bait you, the thing I would try to make you say, is this:

Where the hell did I even imply that?

Dismissing the fact the executive branch has to push for such legislation and even sign off on it makes me think you need to take some basic civic course. Thought I'd return the condescending tone to you for once.

Also Biden not putting his name on the check is pretty damn stupid. It was already shown to be a big reason why Cheetos Buffoon made up so much Latino support.

One of the most progressive pieces in decades isn't that big of an accomplishment we've been in Reaganomics for the past 30 years. I wouldn't praise an adult basket ball player for beating the kid at Basketball. You want to have a praise them be my guest, but don't be surprised we all aren't groveling at their feet.

I would even take issue with this, because democrats were fighting for direct payments, while GOP was targeting employer protection and business loans. Not to say that’s bad, my job got those loans, and we are hiring again. But, the direct payments are a credit to democrats...

That’s a good point actually... I live in Seattle... do you know what the minimum wage going to 15$ an hour would mean here? Nothing... we are at 16.75$... Because the west side of Washington has a lot of democrats...

Sienama... or what ever her name is... the one who ran as a far left progressive demanding a minimum wage increase? Almost 13? NYC is 15... LA is $14.25... Guess who you need to convince?

There is merit to your argument.

From my perspective, this is a HUGE change in how the country views things. The most progressive piece in decades is supported by over 60% of the country, including a LOT of republicans. Republican attacks on the bill are so weak and so off the wall that they do more to reinforce the idea that this bill is good.

So I will give them a HUGE amount of praise. They earned it. And I am still being happy about it

Soon enough I'll start pressing for more. But right now I'd rather democrats put up trial balloons and engage in backdoor strategy sessions to figure out how to move forward from here. Democrats have some good momentum behind them, but converting it into more tangible results will not be trivial.

Also remember that President Biden is holding firm on some of his more controversial executive orders, despite some of them having been attacked. Hold your fire a bit - you have to admit that the start of his Presidency is a lot better than we were expecting.

I am going to add a word in praise of Senator Manchin: he voted as needed, and on talk shows he defended not only his vote FOR the bill, but he also fiercely defended the President. He also said he would have voted for the bill if it had an $11 an hour minimum wage increase in it. So far he is definitely negotiating in good faith for us. And I would suggest that his input is one of the reasons that so many republicans are comfortable with the bill. Senator Manchin is the new go to guy for conservatives now that McConnell is so weak and other republicans have gone off the deep edge. He has delivered for democrats. He has delivered for President Biden. And he gets his share of the credit for the successes that have happened so far.

Given the murder of a gay teen recently in small-town Washington... i'd disagree with that.
