Well, to say neither candidate was a preferable option is about like calling water wet but that doesn't change the fact that one is measurably worse which I am thinking is the hurdle that not even they could clear in convincing them to stay home.

Also worth noting that Iran meddled specifically to hurt Trump's chances. So Iran and Russia had two different goals, Russia had a clear favorite in wanting Trump to remain in power, Iran seems less like they wanted Biden in power and more that they just "didn't want Trump".

No, I got the context they were trying to push it in, the whole "Both sides" crap trying to get them to stay home.

I was just pointing out that while there was no great option, they weren't both equally garbage and that there was no real "Both Sides" crap they could push to really convince people they were both equally bad at that point.

I was saying that while neither of them were great, trying to push "Both sides" convincingly was a hurdle not even Russia could clear at that point.
