I'm not anti-progressive, I support Bernie, I voted for Bernie in the primary, I support AoC, I support Jayapal etc, you know, actual progressives. As for Nina Turner, I don't see that she was wrong. Biden is a pretty damned limp candidate. He's not leading any particular charge forward. He's a warm blanket as the country tries to recover from Trump. The problem with that is that the rot is still there, and the warm blanket isn't helping.

I don't think Bernie fuckin' Sanders would've been any better, either; the man's accomplished practically nothing in his political career other than crafting his cult of personality. So don't take that criticism of Biden as a push for Sanders.

I've always thought Biden was an ideologically empty and vapid choice for leader. He's plain oatmeal for breakfast. Technically nutritious, not actually appealing. Maybe she phrased it stronger than I would've, but I seriously do not see anything to celebrate about Biden's Presidency (which should be seen as a contrast again a myriad of other Democratic hopefuls winning the primary and thus the Presidency, not apathy regarding Biden v. Trump).

Like, it's always "yeah, Biden thinks a serial sexual harasser should resign!", or "hoorah, Biden supports vaccinating the people against a horrible virus!". That's, like, the bare fuckin' minimum. These aren't laudable. They're expected minimum requirements to be a minimally decent human being. Sure, that contrasts when compared to Trump, but it's not some big victory or statement of direction.

I think Bernie Sanders could have been better on foreign policy. I don't think he would ramp up sanctions on Cuba, or contend that 80% of Yemen = terrorist therefore sanction essentially the entire country. The issue with Bernie is that I feel he has a bit of that "they're my colleagues" business where he has covered for other rightwing democrats at times.

Biden is soy. He's Tofu. He's nothing but stick him in some sauce and he'll taste like it.

So Trump sauce was left behind and incidentally Biden who promised to undo much of his work has oddly left things in place or expanded upon it which is definitely the opposite.

People also have to remember... Cori lost then Cori won... then Cori exposed the lie Biden's administration was telling and oh we have an extension after a few days of protest... and we know they lied because Biden quadrupled checked and the administration decided that they had no room to do anything because the cdc can't and mysteriously... the new extension was done via the CDC.

When Biden won and a few weeks later I was like "okay this ain't gonna be a great 4 years there isn't too much to be happy about there's a lot of work to be done if we want to you know.. continue" and got attacked for disliking Biden and being told "can't you just be happy and celebrate" and it's like... I ate half a bowl of shit, I'm glad I didn't need to eat the whole bowl but what is there to be 'happy' about?"

The claim is Biden and Trump are part of the same bowl of shit. The difference is that voting Biden means you only eat half of it, because he's not as bad, but is still shit. Voting Trump means eating the entirety of the bowl of shit, because he's twice as bad. They are not 2 different bowls of shit.
