Is this the extent of folly you want to go down to die on your anti-progressive hill? Tell me why you're against progressives?
I'm not anti-progressive, I support Bernie, I voted for Bernie in the primary, I support AoC, I support Jayapal etc, you know, actual progressives. I'm against grifters, I've made this painfully obviously clear, the fact you are struggling with this very basic point, means there is no point continuing.

Ah so she's a grifter because she said something bad about Trump and Biden... right because you must approve of the democratic nominee? You can't possibly vote for them and also dislike them, that's impossible right? So far the only thing you've been able to come up with are: she said somethign bad about trump.

Note how from this conversation your utter lack to make any mention of her policy positions instead focussing entirely on her statment about Trump and Biden... as a replacement for her political beleifs. Talk about fucking tribalism.

    See my new sig.

Shit was recognized a good 70 years ago and publicly called out by the US President.

Even so, the same fearmongering has continued ever since. They don't even update the talking points.

I actually did mention her policy positions, reading, try it.

WTF? Being specifically against Nina Turner and Jimmy Dore fuckheads has nothing to do with anything in your signature.

Maybe I missed something, but the last reference to Jimmy Dore I see is way the hell back in March.

As for Nina Turner, I don't see that she was wrong. Biden is a pretty damned limp candidate. He's not leading any particular charge forward. He's a warm blanket as the country tries to recover from Trump. The problem with that is that the rot is still there, and the warm blanket isn't helping.

I don't think Bernie fuckin' Sanders would've been any better, either; the man's accomplished practically nothing in his political career other than crafting his cult of personality. So don't take that criticism of Biden as a push for Sanders.

I've always thought Biden was an ideologically empty and vapid choice for leader. He's plain oatmeal for breakfast. Technically nutritious, not actually appealing. Maybe she phrased it stronger than I would've, but I seriously do not see anything to celebrate about Biden's Presidency (which should be seen as a contrast again a myriad of other Democratic hopefuls winning the primary and thus the Presidency, not apathy regarding Biden v. Trump).

Like, it's always "yeah, Biden thinks a serial sexual harasser should resign!", or "hoorah, Biden supports vaccinating the people against a horrible virus!". That's, like, the bare fuckin' minimum. These aren't laudable. They're expected minimum requirements to be a minimally decent human being. Sure, that contrasts when compared to Trump, but it's not some big victory or statement of direction.

    They are intrinsically linked.

Also, the choice was biden or trump. During the general, when Trump winning was very much a possibility, claiming that biden is the same bowl of shit that Trump is, you don't see anything wrong with that? again endus, wtf?

By the time it got to the general, sure.

Dig back in my history. I was strongly against Biden all through the primaries. I was fully supporting Biden once the primaries were over. I still think he was not the worst of the list, but definitely nearer the bottom than the top of those on the primary ballot.

She compared voting for Biden to eating half a bowl of shit, where Trump was the full bowl.

So, she did not claim it was "the same bowl of shit". You're just misrepresenting what she said.

July was well into the general when she stated that. Whatever, you want to carry water for known grifters, I won't stop you.

I think Bernie Sanders could have been better on foreign policy. I don't think he would ramp up sanctions on Cuba, or contend that 80% of Yemen = terrorist therefore sanction essentially the entire country. The issue with Bernie is that I feel he has a bit of that "they're my colleagues" business where he has covered for other rightwing democrats at times.

Biden is soy. He's Tofu. He's nothing but stick him in some sauce and he'll taste like it.

So Trump sauce was left behind and incidentally Biden who promised to undo much of his work has oddly left things in place or expanded upon it which is definitely the opposite.

People also have to remember... Cori lost then Cori won... then Cori exposed the lie Biden's administration was telling and oh we have an extension after a few days of protest... and we know they lied because Biden quadrupled checked and the administration decided that they had no room to do anything because the cdc can't and mysteriously... the new extension was done via the CDC.

When Biden won and a few weeks later I was like "okay this ain't gonna be a great 4 years there isn't too much to be happy about there's a lot of work to be done if we want to you know.. continue" and got attacked for disliking Biden and being told "can't you just be happy and celebrate" and it's like... I ate half a bowl of shit, I'm glad I didn't need to eat the whole bowl but what is there to be 'happy' about?"

  12. #9492
So is Biden soy, tofu or half of the same bowl of shit that trump is?

Regardless, yeah I'm happy I'm not currently living in a dictatorship, cause lord knows they tried, even after losing.

yes @Endus incorrectly addressed this because he didn't even read his own link.

Nina Turner, assessing the choice of Biden against President Donald Trump in the November presidential election, told The Atlantic: “It’s like saying to somebody, ‘You have a bowl of shit in front of you, and all you’ve got to do is eat half of it instead of the whole thing.’ It’s still shit.”

That's . . . Exactly what I said she said. You were the one claiming, incorrectly, that she drew an equivalence between Trump and Biden.

The claim is Biden and Trump are part of the same bowl of shit. The difference is that voting Biden means you only eat half of it, because he's not as bad, but is still shit. Voting Trump means eating the entirety of the bowl of shit, because he's twice as bad. They are not 2 different bowls of shit.
