Did you make that much fuss when you were 4 and getting your mandated vaccines? Were you screaming "OVARSTEHP!" then? You had a dozen shots before you realized it, are you gonna sue your parents for it?

No? Why are you upset and yelling? I am fine with vaccine mandates for government employees, military members, and public school attendance.

I'd have to see some sources of OSHA being successfully rebuked in court because my experience with them does not reflect that at all.

I don't know how familiar you are with OSHA but the standards/rules/regulations are written rather clearly, leaving little room for interpretation. The notion of an inspector "going to far in diagnosing a problem or correcting it" doesn't mesh well with what OSHA actually does. I've heard plenty of claims within the manufacturing world of such things occuring, but the end result was always that company receiving a fine, not them getting a court to dismiss it.

Nothing in @Dontrike 's post suggested suggested he was upset and/or yelling. In fact, I think he was mocking you.

So in time as children grow and go to school they'd get the Covid shot and everyone will have it and therefore you are okay with everyone being forced to get it. So it's not the mandate, but more so you being a random contrarian for no damn reason.

You basically just said "I don't like them, but I like them."

Well, the "Happy Pride" was always sarcasm in the first place; it was in reference to the bigotry logo that I'm guessing he was forced to take out of his sig.

Now it's just a dog whistle.

I honestly can't imagine the sort of mindset that is so utterly pathetic as to feel the need to punch down at marginalized demographics for laughs.

Then again, I'm not a conservative.

No no no, don't you see, they're the marginalized demographic because people are hating on them just because they choose to be a bigot!

Federal vaccines mandates are not new they go back centuries and even the right wing supreme court hasn't overturned them. Perhaps you disagree with the methodology but it is a necessary tool governments need in order to combat pandemics which we have had several since this country was founded. If you take that ability away and leave everything to the states you basically gut the governments ability to combat future pandemics.

Are you so dead set on "states rights" you want to risk setting that precedence? it's mind boggling you guys have become the pro-death party.

Since they have fully embraced the anti-vaxx movement they are against those vaccines too.

And you think that the rich think 80k to be an expensive car?

A poor man’s version of a rich man’s car seems like an apt description at that price point.
Since we can't call out Trolls and Bad Faith posters and the Ignore function doesn't actually ignore it. Add

to your ublock or adblock filter to actually ignore ignored posters. Now just need a way to ignore responses to them as well.

The rich are buying cars easily double to quadruple the price. Many large trucks can come close to $80K

It's like 2-3 times the price of a cheap, normal car.

Translate that to food prices. A Big Mac meal is what, $8? So that's our "cheap" option. We're not considering cooking for ourselves, here. So three times that is $24. That's a basic entree price at basically any decent steak house or non-chain restaurant. That's a poor man's idea of a fancy restaurant. It isn't fine dining with a Michelin-star chef or something. Taking a girl out for a dinner that's gonna cost you maybe $100 with drinks and desserts isn't particularly impressive. Not when you could easily order a bottle of wine that costs twice that, alone.

Poor people can't afford the $80k car. But it's what they think they might be able to afford if they got some money, won the lottery, or something. Because they don't even know about the actual high-end vehicle industry. They can't even dream that big.

Putting politics completely aside, maserati is generally regarded as a low quality, unreliable, but expensive vehicle that clueless people buy. It reminds me of when we learned Trump eats his steak well done with ketchup.

Anyhow, we know who Manchin is. We've known for a long time that he doesn't truly give a shit about softening the blow of climate change or any other important problem we face. I don't ever expect someone like him to do what's right. He'll live out the rest of his live believing he's a decent person and then probably die before having to witness any of the consequences of his inaction. This goes for almost the entire republican party and a disgusting percentage of dems too.

This will eventually change. It's going to be too late by then. Maybe it's already too late. This decade is still going to be one big struggle, but I see that changing dramatically in the following 10-20 years.

Have you really never seen someone lease or even buy a car that they really can't afford?

    Weird. That shit happens daily.
