I hope the party of "family values" gets lambasted for this shit, but they won't.
Yeah, Biden demonstrating actual family values gets treated like it is a bad thing while Trump openly talking about screwing his own daughter gets cheered.

Well, it isn't surprising that Trump gets the incest is best crowd, Republicans do control the Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida states.

Yep, and I believe all 13 states where a full grown adult can screw children as young as 12 LEGALLY.

They have to get married first. So that makes it okay.

Yeah, the kids are fair game as long as they are grabbing their ankles in gods name evidently...

I think Alabama was the worst offender as in 2014 they actually signed that marriage certificate between a 65 year old man and a 12 year old girl.

The bastion of investigative journalism known as The Onion got ahold of a message left on Sean Hannity's phone by his father and shared it, much like Hannity shared Joe Biden's message to Hunter supporting and encouraging him through hard times and showing unconditional love.

"Enemy" goes too far. They're just less of a reliable ally in certain areas, and maybe hostile to US demands in the short term. It will take much more effort in repairs for a future administration.

Speaking on broader implications, it makes energy prices less influenced by the US. They're already vulnerable to increases because of Russia and Iran. It makes US middle east policy much more difficult to navigate. Saudi Arabia is behaving very amicably with Israel and will look nearer for cooperation in international stage. Less influence and impact in the region. More alternative strategies of threats (Schumer/Chris Murphy/Bob Menendez already on record for that) or appeasement are coming.

there were rumors Joe Biden would meet with Putin next month at G2 to negotiate Brittney Griner's freedom. He debunked this today, saying he's not negotiating anything with Russians; instead, they will cave to the demands and options the US has laid out at their feet.

Fucked up. More or less just said it's not worth it.

Man, can you imagine if a Trump supporter presented this line as a negative after defending Trump and Trump's policies? Man, that would be such an embarrassing display of hypocrisy.

That's not saying he's abandoning Griner. It's saying he's not willing to give the Russians anything in exchange, because they're acting as a terrorist nation and do not deserve any such concessions. That's still negotiating, it's just negotiating from a position of strength.

Sorry you're upset that Russia is a weak nation that Biden knows can't actually stand up against the USA.

Your whine is right up there with demanding that the USA cave to the demands of terrorists, because a President famously said "The USA does not negotiate with terrorists" and you think that's terrible.

    The reality is "negotiations" between the USA and Russia will fall more in line with this;

The problem with Griner is time is running out. Sure he didn't outright say fuck em, but he knows what the Russians do (i.e, torture) and how this is blackmail with that in mind.

What Russians might be doing to Griner is awful.

Concessions would be worse, for more people.

That's what you're (likely deliberately) not getting.

Wait, didn't @YUPPIE literally do that? I seem to remember threads about "oh Russia has nukes, we'd better give them everything they ask for"?

man, shouldn't holding someone hostage like that warrant more sanctions though? The issue is they're seemingly not doing anything at all.

It's like a combination of old KGB agitprop with Steve Bannon's "flood the zone with shit."

Doing anything to poison the discourse to prevent help to Ukraine.

No, the issue is that you haven't bothered to actually read anything on the topic and come here completely uninformed.

And it rings especially hollow following Trump halting military exercises off North Korea in exchange for three hostages, then going there to take pictures and go to fast food restaurants and openly legitify their dictator. Like he did with the Taliban, also terrorists.

Related story, I found an entire dot-gov page filled with sanctions on Russia because of Ukraine. They're pretty dire, Russia's economy is collapsing under the weight. I'm not sure what adding more for one individual person is supposed to accomplish. It's like sentencing someone to life in prison, plus 30 days.

    the problem is this, okay:

Biden's response, and your responses, are effectively solidifying Russian's status as a terrorist state no different from ISIS (etc) despite its place in history.

is like saying "Your Honor, my client wasn't a murderer until he killed those people on purpose". It was a pointless and irrelevant detail to add, and I suspect it was only done to try to defend Russia.
