Stroll down memory lane for all the jagoffs that simply repeat the conventional wisdom of; "DeMs DOnT Do AnyTHIng" or "DEmS are fEckLeSS"

Four years this time... the American Rescue Plan had already been introduced in committee and passed in House Ways and Means.

They passed $1.9 trillion in new public spending with a thinner trifecta than the GoP has now.

    It's not an audit.

    You are lying.

Funny enough there is someone who lurks on this forum just to keep check to see what y'all are doing who actually is a DOD Auditor here. I have had 13 years, 7 of which have been in Auditing Assertion for the federal government. What these kids are doing wouldn't even be worthy of being considered an internal sampling which we do on a monthly basis. When you do an audit there are 4 phases to it: Planning, Assertion, Reporting and Corrective Actions. What these kids are doing is thinking they can skip straight to the Reporting phase without a Audit Log, Control Log, KSD (Key Supporting Documentation) Listing, Control Matrix and SDP (Supporting Documentation Packets). Any dipshit can go in there and thing and go "well this is missing must be fraud" and we do this to the rookie auditors to show them how important these documents are.

Let me give you an example of what just recently happened at work this very week.

We had a payment system for the Navy/Marines called DCAS report out an appropriation without a corresponding 1081 (Which would be part of the KSD package). Well if you were looking at straight transaction you would go "FRAUD!! THERE'S NOT A CORRESPONDING TRANSACTION". Well if you would go into the control log and review the sample in question they would had seen that the transaction was what we call a trading partner (INTERFUND) transaction which means another service borrowed it, which in this case was USSF. We get the 1081 from the USSF and low and behold there is our missing 1081...and not only that the correction was made on another voucher a day later so everything would tick and tie...but if you were only looking at the ledger for DCAS only that day then things would be out of balance. This is why DoD has AM&C teams (Account Maintenance and Controls) to tie these transaction together before month end reporting and sometimes it might take a month or two which is why we have not only monthly reporting/reconciliations but quarterly reconciliation.

All these dumbasses think fraud is visible and out in the open for any untrained eye to see...real fraud occurs in transactions that are legit but have hidden riders on them which requires actually reviewing the samples in question to understand the audit trail which at this time we haven't seen occur. Its EXTREMELY hard to commit fraud in the federal government. Ironically the most obvious example I have experienced is some president's campaign vendor who kept charging $9,000 transactions to their IPAC account (Basically the DoD's version of petty cash) multiple times a day by ordering catering at his property for security stationed outside his home to protect him (though their food came out of an actual but separate appropriation)

To be completely fair fraud is very visible right now it's just not at all what republican voters think it is it's pretty much a line item list of doge's actions being money stolen by felon from the american taxpayer

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/opini...be his legacy.

    By President Joe Biden

As I sat among the more than 200,000 people who came to Rome to grieve the loss and celebrate the life of Pope Francis, one word kept running through my mind − mercy.

I thought of the pope’s motto – “Miserando atque eligendo." It translates as, "He looked at him with mercy and chose him.” It is a reference to Jesus selecting Matthew to be his disciple, not despite the fact that the tax collector was a sinner, but because of it.

I thought of the Jubilee Year of Mercy that Pope Francis proclaimed. I thought of “The Name of God is Mercy” that he wrote.

Most of all, I thought of his mission, his ministry, his life’s work.

Vice President Joe Biden and the Pope at the Pope's inauguration.

I first met Francis at his inauguration as pope in 2013. I was vice president. Like millions of Catholics all over the world, I felt a surge of hope and optimism.

In Francis, I saw the revitalization of the faith I had grown up with. A faith that calls us to care for “the last and the least” among us. A faith that gives us the obligation to feed the hungry, care for the sick, lift up the poor, welcome the stranger. A faith that sees the humanity in everyone and believes we are all God’s children. A faith of forgiveness and compassion. Of dignity and respect. Of love and mercy.

Francis was a pope for our time, when so many leaders embraced cruelty. He stood for compassion. When so many casually embraced lies. He stood for truth. When so many saw the climate as an imagined problem. He saw it as an existential crisis. When so many treated the climate as a political matter. He knew it was a moral imperative.

And when so many practiced the politics of dehumanization, he stood for our common humanity.

The Bidens at the Pope's funeral. Wearing black.

Francis was a voice of great moral clarity even in the face of sickness and death.

In his final Easter message, which he gave just one day before he died, he cried out against war: “What a great thirst for death, for killing, we witness each day in the many conflicts raging in different parts of our world!”

He called out the cruelty being inflicted on others: “How much violence we see, often even within families, directed at women and children!”

He spoke against the demonization of the weakest among us: “How much contempt is stirred up at times towards the vulnerable, the marginalized, and migrants!”

Francis used to say that “a little mercy makes the world less cold and more just.” Now I fear with his passing, the world will be colder and less just. Which means that all of us who loved Francis need to step up.

Francis wasn’t the only one chosen by God’s mercy. We all were. When we remember that, we will see that mercy isn’t weakness. There is no greater strength.

One of the mementos I most treasured as president was a photo with Pope Francis that I kept on my desk in the Oval Office. That photo is now on my desk at home in Delaware. It serves as a daily reminder to me to do more, to be better, to make a difference in the lives of others.

Pope Francis was a great leader and a deeply good man. Now we can honor his life by making his legacy a living legacy. A living faith. A faith of caring and compassion – and mercy.

Pretty words. Ultimately meaningless, given the legacy he left in the last year of his term.

Wouldn't surprise me if he's known this since last year and that's why he dropped out.

A sudden diagnosis of late-stage cancer is going to ring alarm bells.

The Biden-friendly MSNBC had a doctor on (Ezekiel Emanuel, brother to Rahm Emanuel, former Biden advisory board member) that floated the possibility that Biden either skipped the test, or the White House failed to report the results.

If Biden had this for years and wasn't diagnosed, or lied when they said it was just diagnosed, oh boy.
"I wish it need not have happened in my time." "So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Thoughts and prayers go out to the old man with cancer, regardless of the actions of his family and staff.

Who the fuck cares? He's not the President. You have no basis for thinking anything was covered up. You're literally making this shit up. As is Emanuel, who doesn't know fuck-all about Biden's medical history and should fuckin' know better.

I knew somebody who died 5 weeks after the first symptom, this was a fit and healthy guy in his 20's. Not all cancers develop slowly.

Also FU for trying to score internet points with this!

I'd imagine if you were to take away the karma point system of Reddit, people would stop pretending real fast.
