He cancelled the Keystone Pipeline. That already puts him to the left of Justin Trudeau on Climate Policy at any rate.

The pipeline for Canada is a economic issue as well as an environmental one. Ponder for a moment why Canada wants to ship vast amounts of oil via pipeline thousands of miles to Texas, rather than process the resource themselves in Alberta for far more profit?

The reason is quite simple. There are different types of oil that come out of the ground, from Texas "sweet crude" to the Alberta Canadian "tar sands" oil. Needless to say the tar sands oil in question that would be moved by the pipeline is incredibly dirty to refine, and far more environmentally damaging to process than Texas sweet crude. So your reasoning that Biden is now to the left of Trudeau is completely wrong, since it fails to take into account the whole reason for the pipeline which is that Canada doesn't want it's environment trashed to process this dirty Alberta tar sands oil.

So now that you know that, WHY in the world would we take on something so nasty that another country doesn't even want to process it on their land, and are willing to build a giant pipeline to have it done in another country so they don't have to?

For added bonus the jobs created for the pipeline will be temporary while it's built and at the end only 50 Canadian and 0 American jobs will be permanent. And this is on top of the pipeline running through US communities and Native American tribal lands where if it leaks, which it inevitably will, it destroys the water table.

So it makes a bit more sense now why Trudeau is far more for the pipeline than any US President should be. This is akin to the countries that take shiploads of trash from other countries to process it.

Canadian Environmentalists have been against the Pipeline from day one. It's not that we don't want Tar sands oil refined here...we don't want it refined at all. We don't want it mined.

So will Biden and Congress repeal the 1994 crime bill?

They also need to resubmit the Voting Rights Advancement Act of 2019.

Looking at someone making an early bid to become the nominee. He's not without competition. Pompeo and Cruz are also angling to be at the top of that ticket.

The Treasury Department and IRS are working to get unclaimed economic relief payments to as many as 8 million households that haven’t yet received their due.

The undertaking, announced by the agencies Friday, is part of a broader initiative started by President Joe Biden’s executive order mobilizing the full federal government on various parts of Covid-19 relief and will include a web tool to help people find out if they’re eligible.

Much of the focus is on people not required to file tax returns.

“This is principally an issue associated with people who are non-filers, so they’re not filing income taxes in most cases because they don’t make enough to need to file federal income taxes,” National Economic Council Director Brian Deese said at a White House press briefing.

The planned online portal is an outgrowth of the existing IRS non-filer website established last year to help ensure names and contact information were registered for payments. Initial payments were distributed based on the past two years of tax return filings, but not all eligible recipients were in those databases since not everyone has to file tax returns.
Targeted help! This is good shit and those being targeted are often in poverty and do not have to file taxes, so this financial support is likely much needed and going to help. Now they just need to keep track of them and keep passing more stimulus packages.

It's a race to see who can be the Trumpiest before 2024, my bet is though Trump will get acquitted and be able to run again he still has 80-85% support among republicans. That's why the DOJ and state AGs must bury this guy in litigation so that he can barely afford a subway fare let alone think about running for office.

Oh, and of course, all the times Trump and his supporters like @YUPPIE said masks don't work. You can find lists of that everywhere, and other events such as his rallies that were so maskless they killed Herman Cain.

..And how many of those posts in the Trump thread do you think were actually them just criticizing Biden/the democrats in that thread itself.

After spending the past year declaring there was no need to wear masks and lauding Trump for not wearing one.

Of course. They also said for 4 years elections matter and everyone just has to deal with Trump because he won. I noticed on the 20th it was "WE MUST RESIST!"

Masks for the vaccinated are a retarded idea in the first place. That Republicans are completely conceding on any desire to return to normalcy in a pathetic attempt to own the libs is just about the perfect example of how goddamned stupid the party is.
