Any troops sleeping in parking Garages is down to Trump if at all since 3-4 days isn't going to change that issue.
The only reason Trump didn't get the US into a new middle east war is that Iran wasn't stupid enough to openly attack the US after the US assassinated the essentially second in command of their nation.
Coronavirus issues in the US will always be Trump's fault as he did next to nothing and worse tried to play it down.

Yep, you don't see the Russian saying anything about the 30-50 million without jobs in just a few months thanks to Trump's shitty response to the Coronavirus.

They are referring to things like keystone... it’s those jobs...

    See above...

I don’t actually understand that one...

Yep, the bewilderment of Trump supporters, as to why there would be so much military presence after an insurrection two weeks prior... is one of the strangest examples of cognitive dissonance yet.

The only reason Trump didn't get the US into a new middle east war is that Iran wasn't stupid enough to openly attack the US after the US assassinated the essentially second in command of their nation.
He moved troops from protecting Kurds, to protecting Saudi Oil.

They are finally taking it seriously... silver lining...

If Biden pushed through M4A, the ultra left wing progressives would claim it was because of them. They simply can't praise Biden period. They either claim he's doing a shitty job, or if he does something they want, they try to take the credit.

But it would be because of them... I mean we have him on record you know... saying he is against it.... like what the fuck is wrong with you people?

    Let me just quote pacox

Are some people actually arguing that progressives shouldnt take credit for pulling the part left? What kind of backwards logic...

Biden is a very well established centrists.
    Progressives lobby for progressive policies
    Biden mentions said policies.

Insecure Liberals: "STFU you progressive socialist. We were pushing that agenda all along. So what if we've never mentioned it before and it's the only thing you've talked about for the last 4 years. Look at the 'Cosplay Leftists' complain about us cosplaying as progressives. They aren't even complaining yet? Let's back them into a corner until they do! "

Gahdamn. I swear some core Dems hate allies from left more than they hate McConnell's GOP.

Maybe some of these idiots and foxnews tards should go over to the middle east and see how bad troops have it, especially when out on missions, then come back.

Also the shock they forget this is a deployment by the trump administration, because of the trump administration and their failure to provide the necessary logistics

If not the pressure being applied on the Dems by progressives, what would you credit the adoption of M4A, assuming the country ever gets it?

"Why do progressives want credit for progressive policies that our non-progressive candidate may possibly be thinking about considering enacting 60 years late?" is an interesting spin.

To be clear, if America got M4A tomorrow it would be:

    (a) A far weaker policy than true universal healthcare, which
    (b) Most of the rest of the civilised world has had for longer than its citizens have been alive

So yes, criticism would be absolutely warranted.

I looked it up to see where he's getting "60,000 jobs" from, all I could find was a fact-checking site which addressed a claim that it would cost 11,000 jobs:

A Facebook post says that Biden’s executive order revoking the Keystone XL pipeline "is destroying 11,000 jobs."

That number is an estimate, and the claim lacks context about the longevity of Keystone jobs.

TC Energy said more than 1,000 people are out of work because of Biden’s executive order. In October, the company said it expected to employ more than 11,000 Americans in 2021 and generate more than $1.6 in gross wages.

But both TC Energy and the State Department have said the majority of those jobs would be temporary. A 2014 report found that the company would need only 50 employees to maintain the Keystone XL pipeline once it’s finished, 35 of them permanent.

Temporary jobs are still jobs. But this post could leave the wrong impression without full context. We rate it Half True.
    https://www.statesman.com/story/news...ck/6673822002/

Basically, according to the company itself (who you should definitely believe, what possible motive could they have to exaggerate the jobs they would create?) it might employ 11,000 people in short term construction contracts for a year. These are not ongoing jobs, even if they turn out to be real.

So as far as I can tell Yadryonych is mindlessly repeating a twitter account (by screenshotting it on the forum lol) that took a misleading estimate and multiplied it by 6 for good measure.

Did you think that Tweet meant that Biden's plan was to just snap his fingers and have Covid be over on Jan 21?

Biden never promised Covid would magically disappear. That was Trump's thing.

True, he only promised he has a plan of getting the virus under control. But then there's magically nothing he can do to change the trajectory of the pandemic. This doesn't really check out... unless you've mastered the art of doublethink, of course

Still seems better than the trump approach of "don't think once"

Of course there's another way of looking at it:

    https://abcnews.go.com/Health/wireSt...liver-75437468
WASHINGTON -- It's a proven political strategy: Underpromise and overdeliver.

President Joe Biden, in his first three days in office, has painted a bleak picture of the country's immediate future, warning Americans that it will take months, not weeks, to reorient a nation facing a historic convergence of crises.

The dire language is meant as a call to action, but it's also a deliberate effort to temper expectations. In addition, it is an explicit rejection of President Donald Trump’s tack of talking down the coronavirus pandemic and its economic toll.
I'd say it's better to play up the threat of the virus than play it down.

Uhm... how about a mask mandate, money for schools and instructing manufacturing to build supplies? How about a plan for Vaccine distribution, so they don’t get thrown away, like it has been happening under Trump. How about extending unemployment, another stimulus, without attacking workers rights.

That’s the opposite of Underpromise and over deliver... Biden isn’t promising the virus is gone and his relief is slated to last until September, despite forecasts showing that by summer’s end, the virus should be managed. Biden can’t say that and has to plan beyond the projected end, because if it doesn’t happen, it’s just Trump again.

Trump was Overpromise, Underdeliver. "It'll just go away", "We're going to keep deaths below 60k", "Summer will kill it", etc.

The article I linked goes into it a bit further...how some people think Biden is setting his goals a little low:

Maybe they’re picking a number that’s easier to achieve, rather than the number that we need to achieve. I would urge people to be bolder than that,” he said.

Adalja argued that the goal they’ve set “should be the bare minimum that we accept.” But he also acknowledged that there’s a major political risk in overpromising.

“You don’t want people to be discouraged or feel like the government is incompetent” if they fail to meet a goal, he said.

Yeah, I didn’t look into it, because all those jobs are temporary. It doesn’t matter that it’s 60k or 11k, they won’t exist once Canada is done fucking over US land, by completing the pipeline. Remember boys and girls... when they say America first, they mean oil companies...

It’s also no surprise that this is nothing more than the Coal Miner scam. Creating policy that sends millions of dollars to coal barons, to save jobs... but, never mentioning that there were less than 50k coal miners in 2018, with it likely being closer to 30k today, due to all the lay offs that followed Trump’s bail outs.

Fossil fuel subsidies equal to 20 billion in US:
    https://www.eesi.org/papers/view/fac...societal-costs

If that money went directly to coal miners in 2018... I know the scope is greater than coal... but, for ease of math and googling, those 50k coal miners... would be getting 400k per year... what the fuck are they doing with the money, if they are still laying people off?

You give Trump a pass for four years and hundreds of thousands of deaths, and put all the blame on Biden who has only been in office for a few days...I thought you Trump zealots left here...
