I don’t think she wants to be in charge of a part of a system she wants to overthrow in it’s entirety. She’s gone all Sarah Kerrigan and wants to kill God.
And of course, like Kerrigan she will succeed.

In WoW might makes right, not even divine beings are safe from outside influence. Given enough resources even a mere mortal can overthrow a god. As far as I know, no being in WoW is granted absolute power or immunity. All in all, a heartwarming message, really. "Believe in yourself, and you too will be able to kill god one day!"![]()
Honestly, at this point, if Tyrande doesn't end up giving Sylvanas the "true death" (before likely going completely off the deep end herself, and starting the cycle over and maybe leading towards an expansion based on the darker side of Elune) eventually, I'll be very surprised and honestly pretty disappointed. If they try any type of redemption arc or "Sylvanas was right all along" or any of that bullshit, it'll just be worst possible option. I know the Sylvanas Stans will remain loud and vocal for their "Banshee Waifu" and refuse to accept that all the horrible things she's done since as far back as WotLK has been moving towards her being an enemy to all of Azeroth, whether Alliance, Horde, or otherwise.
this would be a lil more complex than sylvanas lich king)
i expect some arthas/sylvanas drama about carrying the weight of all 'humanity'

Shadowlands is real world
The Maw is China
The Jailer is China government
Sylvanas is Blizz
Of course she will take Jailers place. She is destined to be the Kamala of WoW.

Yet also as humble as health and humor permit.
Respect all, submit to none.
Plot twist Arthas doesn't have a big impact on the story in this xpack. But the void v light xpack he is going to be the main man fighting against both.
But I hope we only see a glimpse of Arthas, where he will passes on from of the maw to revendread of maldraxxus. I'm getting sick of redemption story arcs, just for fan service. But Arthas did nothing wrong, he was just misguided. Bit if they want Arthas to have a bigger story then I wanna see him join Maldraxxus to rebuild it since he knows a lot about the scourge which is from Maldraxxus.
Blood Elves were based on a STRONG request from a poll of Asian players where many remarked on the Horde side that they and their girlfriends wanted a non-creepy femme race to play (Source)
Well he's in the Shadowlands so he's going to stay dead at least lol. Either that or Shadowlands will lead into a "Return of the Lich King" espansion.
It's speculation.. BUT...
We already know Arthas will be seen again at some point, as he's wrongly placed in the Maw.
Despite new characters created, Athas and Illidan are still two of the biggest and most popular characters of the franchise.
With all the time in Icecrown and the iconography and landscape of the Maw drawing HEAVILY from Icecrown, there's huge amounts pandering to WOTLK nostalgia already, even without Arthas.
You've got to ask yourself.. What's more important to Activision/Blizzard? Stick to growth of story and not bring back old character to rehash them unnesesarily... or making more dollars. If you think the former, Illidan would like to disagree with you.
