That's the biggest sticking point, I agree. They are beings of Order, and according to Blizzard beings of a cosmic force go back to said force's homeland when they "die". But I'm not sure if there's a plane of Order or it's just the real world. Coupled with his soul being heavily tampered with kind of like Uther was upon death, it's very much possible that Argus or a part of him shot straight to the Arbiter, which just isn't equipped to handle a corrupted Titan soul when she judges puny mortals all day long.
We know death broke during Legion, and we saw that it came in the form of an unusually big, unusually red soul. Unless said soul came from a place other than Azeroth, that leaves two possible answers, Xavius or Argus, and the latter seems far, far more likely.

The internet: where to every action is opposed an unequal overreaction.
/yawn... wake me when one of these actually tells us something. The idea that after 'uncounted eons' ANY single thing would break this is idiotic. After all that time, everything would have happened. But this is special! yeah, right.

Judging by the sound I'm going to say it's a female mortal. Who died recently?
Why's no one throwing in KJ? Argus's "soul" was used to bind imprison Sargeras, so it's not Argus or Sargeras. But Kj IS actually red, and is a being of pure hate. He also died right before they got to Argus and it would explain why they had KJ die when he did, where he did in a place where he can't ressurect

Because Sargeras put it there prior to be imprisoned? yeah clearly never played the game
Has the same red glow as venthyr effects. denathrius does support the jailer so who knows maybe this is where he started it. many npcs eventually do specifically say that denathrius forced/caused the drought, maybe its not just compounded in revendreth but started here initially

CHAMPYUN, THE WUNDZ! CHAMPYUN?! CHAMPYUN!!!!!!!!!?????
Blood Elves were based on a STRONG request from a poll of Asian players where many remarked on the Horde side that they and their girlfriends wanted a non-creepy femme race to play (Source)
If we're to go purely by the colour of whatever that was, it could be Denathrius at play - or Argus the Unmaker. Remember, Blizzard have stated that Mythic encounters are the ones representative of the lore fights, and Argus was a glaring shade of red by the time we struck him down. What if his soul - a World Soul corrupted by demonic power - was too much for the Arbiter to handle?
Wasn't it speculated that the Machine of Death broke before the Nightmare raid?
