He moved to Titan team after patch 4.1. And then Kosak took over. Metzen had always hated Garrosh.This was the main reason they changed Garrosh in MoP. totally a murder.

They know and appreciate that Garrosh is a "contentious" character. He's part of a far larger storyline including Thrall ("And dammit, I like talking about guys like Thrall. "He's never taken the time to just grow," was pushed into leadership very young. Metzen sees Garrosh used as a counterpoint to Thrall, the former as a hothead against someone who thinks. Ultimately, Garrosh "is the foil to Thrall." Don't get fixated on Garrosh; the story's not ultimately about him. Thinks this is going to be some of the best storytelling that WoW has ever done. "If you love the Horde today, how much more will you love it when you need to fight for it?"

It’s not goldens’s direction she pretty much just does cut scenes shorts books ect, form the sound of her tweets. it would be Danuser’s leading things and the game team calling the shots and then golden is part of the team that fills out there orders.

Afrasiabi is a perfect example of the peter principle, he got promoted until he reached a point where he was no longer able to do his job properly due to a lack of skills.
He started out as a quest designer for WoW and nearly a decade later ended up being some lead position as far as the story is concerned.

It takes no genius to figure out that being a former Everquest player and having written some questchains for Vanilla is not enough to be in a leadership role, especially when the Blizzard has bigger narrative ambitions for the game and wants to move away from the more simplistic storytelling of the past.

Whether he left, was "asked to leave" or got booted is another story, but the dude simply didn't have what was needed for this position.

As a reminder:
He, among other things, created the Thunderfury questchain (which is cool)
He also was the guy that tweeted "There is only one Legion across all realities" (which is just bad) - i still remember how WoWpedia had an extra (alternate Universe) page for every demon that appeared in WoD (such as Mannoroth) and then deleted all of them shortly after he tweeted that.

No idea why you felt the urge to reply to a thread that's almost half a year old, but it's actually not uncommon in larger corporations that some people, despite not having credentials, manage to wiggle themselves through for quite some time, either because they get "lost" in the size of the operations or because of personal connections.

And frankly, being promoted to a position you are unable to fill has even a name: it's called Peter principle.
