OK ! i understand the covenant ability nerf plus conduit nerf - was criting 10-16k in pvp and thus 5-8k shadowblades, and assassination nightstalker envenom 20k crit, but if they nerfed that why nerf shadowblades again??? since your max shadowstrike will crit 3-4k, that`s a merely 1-2k shadowblades at max (full pvp gear 184) , maybe 5-6k if, if you get pve 220 from raid? and get that pvp talent for 100% dmg for 1 single shadowstrike in stealth which takes 10sec to build, this completely ruined shadowblades in pvp, the only big shadowblade came from echoing reprimand with reverberation, shadowblades itself is not overpowered at all, was a misunderstanding, blizzard should reverse shadowblades back to original 50% dmg, or they should just add shadowblades passive 50% shadow damage to shadowstrike against find weakness like eviscerate and remove shadowblades completely

to make it more clear for those who don't understand here are ~ numbers of a 184 (only pvp gear) and using all cds at once to buff it

    covenant ability before any nerf:

    4k ability + 2k conduit = 6k that crits for 9k & 4,5k shadowblades = 13,5k total damage

    & after the nerf:

    2k ability + 0,5k conduit = 2.5k that crits for 3,75k & 1,125k shadowblades = 4,875k total damage

not saying that using covenant ability alone without any buffs does less than 1k dmg

...meanwhile starsurge crits 10-20k, convoke spirits feral/balance kills you in 2sec, ww monk kills you 3sec, ret kills you 3sec, and many other classes still buged in pvp...

The changes don't go far enough (as usual)

What they should have done is delete Shadow Blades entirely (along with Symbols of Death, and the pointless %dmg modifier on Dance itself) so that they can then tune Find Weakness and base Shadowstrike damage higher

Subtlety is the absolute last dps spec that should have a big 3min CD. I'm not saying CDs like Celestial Alignment, Ascendance, Recklessness, etc. don't have a place in the game, but the point is that it should be one burst cadence that some but not all specs fit into. Giving every spec a big 3min dmg CD is a total copout by the lazy devs.
Subtlety Rogue was an amazing, incredible, unique, and fun spec prior to Legion and BfA

The nerf isn't that high. It mostly affect the rogues who chose Kyrian, while rest will be still fine in PvP.

I agree. Don't like the symbol of death and shadow blades at all.

    100% correct.

But we know Blizzard will never do this, they are way too arrogant. Everything comes back to their god awful redesign of subtlety in legion and giving up on it would mean admitting that the previous devs were right.
