Worst expansion I've played so far. It was fun for a couple of weeks. All forms of pve content are extremely unrewarding, the game is full of daily/weekly chores. WoW just keeps getting worse as times goes on.

I get a very strong unfinished vibe. Not buggy and untested, like BFA, but rushed, half done. I keep finding small things that are inconsistent, or oddly abrupt, or even just not thought out. That never really happened, at least not as obvious and omnipresent.

No. I've been playing nonstop since Wrath and this is the first time I've been willing to let my sub run out. Loot drought is atrocious. I did 5 heroics the other day and all I got was gold. Not even anima. Just gold. Torghast is boring as hell. The zones are ugly and a pain to traverse. The lack of a flightwhistle makes doing world quests even more of a chore than past expansions. The story is utter garbage.

I'd rather play through WoD again.

Same and seeing the same comment from a ton of players, "letting my sub run down"

Ive been playing since wrath and have never felt so lost, the game is strictly casual/social now

back in the day it wouldnt be too hard to find a player with consistent 90+ logs, it was quite common, now you never ever see them, check someons raid logs there best log is a blue, and they are entering your group talking like they are something.

I am so done with the game not because of the content but because of how bad the general community has became, its now unfashionable to be good and "tryhard" i never took that insult as a bad thing, i rarely ever seen it, being a casual now that was an insult, not anymore!!! EVERYONE is happy to be called a casual and tryhards are very rare and you barely see them anymore.

Community has took a HUGE swing in favour of the social players that play to socialise with there virtual buddies from 600miles away that they have never even shared a coffee with. world of socialcraft. i put this huge swing down to the fact that blizzard has progressively made te game easier and easier causing the better players to stop playing (not challenging) and the bad players to falsely begin to think they are something by logging in 6 hours a week and having everything gifted to them.

Playing since classic. My favorite expansions are TBC & BFA, I cancelled my subscription before SL launch. The shadowlands concept is so bad, that it broke the entire WOW fantasy for me. A WOD 2 would have been better.

BFA was the biggest effort and best expansion, since a very long time, I wandered around in cities to discover things, I liked the stories, I played so much. It’s sad that it got trashed by the toxic wow community.
I also cannot comprehend why legion was so well received. I guess I’m not a 16 year old that idolizes big pe... I mean big demonhunters that have given up everything...
"Is it true, the devils end up like you?
Something safe for the picture frame?"

Shadowlands is one of the or the worst expansion imo. Only weekly chest or mythic raiding matters with gear. PvP gear way too easy to get. Way too much mandatory to do. They hate alts. Renown catchup sucks. Torghast grind is horrible.

As someone who was extremely negative towards the game before release, I was wrong, and I’m happy to say that. I haven’t played an expansion this much since Wrath, I’ve even beaten out my time spent on Legion. The game is great imo, but this is coming from someone who is in a semi-hardcore raiding guild. I have a team to run mythics with, we’re doing prog in Mythic Nath and I run RBGs and arena whenever. I have two 60s that I’m actively working on but I have 5 60s in total.

My casual friends who play the game solo have all mostly teetered off, it’s the people that have dedicated groups that are sticking around. The Great Vault incentivizes getting out there and doing content with your friends, which is good for the game long term.

My only gripes are with the conduit energy system and how there doesn’t seem to be a clear vision for conduits, my warrior requires me to swap conduits anytime I want to really optimize my performance, but there are plenty of clases with fire and forget conduits.

So yeah, it’s good. Solo players may not enjoy it because their progression path is scuffed but I think they’re playing the wrong genre tbh

I dont see why its any better than BFA at this point tbh.

In some way yeah its better cos they brough back some lore chars in game.
But overall its too much RNG dependant game on everything. Bad balance in pve and pvp, poor class design and low upgrade compared to bfa.
Its ok to timesink but other games can offer more fun and better content, like ESO or even Neverwinter which is p2w in some scale
From all things I've lost I miss my mind the most.

Better classes, better entry level raid, a lot less grind expected of the players, relevant PvP rewards, more collectables. At least in my opinion

Yeah I'm not in the same corner as you. I'm actually happy the game is more accessible. My issue is that the content is bland and the changes to gear drops in high end activity is horrendous. Tryhards are a bane on the community and I'm glad they're leaving.

I already had a few inputs on this topic, starting with a very positive and hopeful comment with launch, slowly facing the reality of the expansion. As a non-raider non m+-er, stritcly outdoor player I've stopped logging in about 2 days ago. I really want to play and upgrade buildings but when I log in, I see 2 100+ anima wqs, I see a couple of ilevel 158 gear poppig up with renown 24 (seriously wtf is with that?) and even my strictly outdoor gear is now ilevel 190-197 and there goes my motivation. Torghast calling, brrrrr. And I need 6k anima to upgrade my building, and 7k on alts as well. It also seems like high anima wqs mostly pop up on wednesday/thursday. Then it drops down by the end of the week. Maybe an elite WQ calling gives 250, but that's it. :/

Seems the game really hates you

But tbh, even though the game has all those systems you want to play in it, they are made just like additions to the whole package.

All the fancy tech a car has, are there to help you on your journey, they don't teleport you to your destination. From my PoV, there are way better games that don't have a monthly fee and gated content, and not MMOs, were you could lose yourself.

I got WQ that give in total ~1k anima or more per day.

Well, if you're up for doing slow wqs (compared to Legions and some of BfA's "kill this one dude standing alone") for 35-70 anima, suit yourself. I'm not doing those.
I mean what's that in Ardenweald? The collect 20 weapons or the other one, the supplies for buff thing? 35 anima for 8 souls and 12 kills in Revendreth? (I think that is the one there) No thanks. So what you see there that's 350 anima for me.

1k from WQ is nice but it rarely EVER happens. The most I've gotten in one day was like....maybe 500.

Thats why I made that pic now, live, to show how many Anima can be farmed for me now, no resets hours. And as it says: 875.
If Anima is your purpuse, you can get 10k per week doing all pvp+pve+wq. Else, doing just WQ, you will prob make 5-6k.

So 1 month and some days later after my last post ... I've stopped playing WoW. Not because Shadowlands, but becasue of what I need from WoW.

Shadowlands for me, it is one of the best expansions that WoW had. Even giving me the oportunity to run into my problem shows how casual and grind free Shadowland's Systems are.

The reason I've unsubbed is just that I am a PvP only player and I've run out of patience to just sit in Oribos wasting more then 50-60% of my gaming time watching the LFG window and praying for a party for 2s. I don't have any real friends playing WoW, and I've joind several PvP communities just to ease this search for party, but it is still hard and I still feel my time searching for a party is wasted, not worth it.

LFG is not a SL issue, it is a WoW issue, and during BFA I didn't hit into this problem since I really didn't had time to, since 1 year out of BFA I havent played and the other year I was forced into PvE (raid/nazj, mecha, M+) just to gear and have essences to be able to start PvP.

I will probably get back when they will have a rated #soloqueue just as other competitive games gave (Dota2, Overwatch, LoL, Fortnite, CSGO, Warzone). As I've stated before in this thread, I will not mind of the PvP Arena would just release as a separate lobby game with solo/2/3 queues just as other games out there have.

GL HF ... maybe cya when #SOLOQUEUE will be a thing.

No, it is not good, as many players have said.
