Funny that... there are lot of women who are with racist white men. Hell one woman finally broke up with her boyfriend after years of him and his friends making jokes about black people.

Hey I have a distant cousin who's black and her "best friend" calls other black people ni**ers while saying she's a "special" black person and not like those other ni**ers. totally not racist!

    Lol.

Racism is a survival thing, its in the genes everyone is racist or lying. You look at strangers like they dont belong, racist. Western white people are the least racist people on earth, because we have be tought we have to accept everyone no matter how vile crimes they do

Like... this dude the fuck is he on?

Also why would they "never have been born" people fuck.. people have kids they would have been born in Africa instead of America.... not "dead" the fuck is wrong with you.

"I'm not racist, I have a black wife. A black wife who I am trying to force to behave properly like a good white person instead of her black self."

This means you think her behaviour is because she's black and INFERIOR and in order to improve she needs to behave like a good white person

Other than efficiency (3% of US farmable land for 19.5% share of US crop commodities) there is another factor that differentiate CA from most other states. If you look at the USDA link that I provided, almost 99% of CA crops are for human consumption.

So? Isn’t that true for all of US crops? Nope.

Lets take a look at Iowa which is the second largest agriculture states. Corn, soybean and hay are #1 through #3 crops in Iowa. Can’t human eat corn and soybean? Not these corn and soybeans. These are for livestock consumption. The Chinese use US corn and soybean to feed their hogs. This is true for the majority of the agriculture in most US states.

So what kind of corn is human consumption? USDA classify corn for human consumption as sweet corn. California produces 26.4% of the sweet corn in the US in 2019. More than 10 times that of Illinois which used to be famous for its sweet corn.

This pretty much chips a large chunk out of the "oh but without us you'd all starve"

No... China maybe would have to buy their stuff somewhere else... but Americans wouldn't starve, they'll barely notice.

A 2018 study by Bloomberg found that while US agricultural land takes up 391 million acres - a fifth of the land in the 48 contiguous states - only 77.3 million of those acres are used to grow the food we eat, while the rest go toward feeding cows and other livestock. So the fact that 99% of crops grown in CA are intended for direct human consumption is rather unusual.

This thread has been pretty thoroughly derailed from its intended topic. Please stick to California and cease discussing race or personal grievances.

The personal grievances started on page one.

the thing is, that superiority complex of LA residents? is present in this very thread. and as I said, in a lot of ways its not even political. I'm sure you are going to argue against any assertion that LA influencers are indicative of LA culture in general, but the sad truth is... they are. they just happened to have made it, while so many more are still trying to make it, trying to be like the influencers. there is a lot of performative behavior with no regard for realities of anyone else, but themselves.

the joke is all too many people in these major metropolises being so convinced that their way is the only way that they are completely blind as to why they are a joke in a first place.

fuck even having a conversation on what living in food desert is like, or how you cannot just not use a car and stick to public transport in a rural area, or accessibility of internet or medical care, or finding better jobs or any number of things that they just can't.. comprehend.
Hi, I live in rural NorCal and can confirm their comment that rural folk are just as bad about this as the city folk they complain about. The NIMBYism that permeates every single city proposal or growth strategy and cries about how "X is destroying our small-town way of life" or "this used to be such a nice place to live until Y" is staggering. The constant complaining about the "big-city elites who don't know anything and haven't worked an honest day in their life!", the disdain and the way they look down on people from large cities is just as prevalent as the big-city elitism you brought up.

You make a good point. The rural counties were fighting hardest against allowing marijuana to be grown. They opted to try and regulate it to death. But, because they are rural counties, enforcing those bans is extraordinarily difficult. And yes, it's just about getting more funding. The same goes for big-box stores who want to build, Indian Casinos, and even car dealerships.

Funny thing is, without them big city folk, the rural folk wouldn't have a lot of their equipment that they use, and certainly not the technology either.

so two wrongs make a right somehow? is that what we are going with?

also the thing with LA (which, unfairly a lot of people equate with California as a whole, kinda like the way people equate NYC with NY state - also wrongly)? its a hellhole, whether you are rural or urban or suburban. its just a hellhole for everyone, but the richest. and even for the richest who get to bypass the awful infrastructure of that city and are not as affected by its prices, the culture of clout chasing in that particular city is especially bad.

P.S. while people as a rule tend to resist change due to very human fear of unknown - there is a method of understanding the environment that you are making the changes in. all too often - even when the change or improvement is genuinely truly needed, the way its done betrays thorough misunderstanding of the environment and because of that - the change doesn't work, the change doesn't take, the change doesn't help. you need to work WITH people, not try to roll right over them because you are so convinced that you have all the right answers. they may be right answers for YOUR environment, but not for EVERY environment. (and yes this goes both ways, rural only people do not know and cannot know what's best for someone living and preferring to live in Urban environment. as I said, two wrongs do not make a right - though as an aside, i do wish people would stop using holocaust as their stick to beat their point with, while simultaneously throwing jewish people under the bus, when they are "the wrong kind of jewish person" - and they are white oppressors now. its exhausting. )

    You missed the point.

The point is that rural folks are guilty of all the bad behaviors they lob at urban dwellers but somehow feel entitled to the position that them choosing to live in the wastes entitles them to have despicable opinions on because you can’t force change in a country that was literally founded by force, apparently. Rofl.
"Multiculturalism has failed!" angrily types a person of European descent living in the Americas in a Germanic language using Roman characters on a device coded with Arabic numerals before leaving in a huff to go watch cartoons made in Japan.

It's a messed up "i love the economic amazingness of their society, but I HATE the core principals of it!"

Basically the fact they think people should be allowed to just be them selves, minus money and blockbuster movies equals we hate California!

And if they didn't make movies we would've cut them out of the US like the Cancer they are!! Arghdlgargledegloop!!

And then somehow Jewish people get thrown in there somewhere because of money!!
    I'm a thread killer.

Funny, when I think of a apocalyptic wasteland I would more akin it to this kind of landscape:
