Real talk. Most of the dungeons in wrath tw can be cleared in about 10 minutes. You just need a tank that isn't scared to pull multiple packs and dps that knows how to use spells. But then again, OP also thinks it takes an hour to clear a key (or "more if you pug and wipe").
Take a step back and consider this is a dps who queues. So add to that the time waiting and the rest of your party is luck based. You may get a good tank or some dps who is pretending to be a tank or the same with a healer. Take your own words - just because you can, does not mean it applies to everyone. I would wager it does not apply to the majority.

I don't think the overlap is as large as you think it is, I doubt people are doing EVERYTHING to get gear.

I know personally I'm just doing TW (at 15 minutes a dungeon too), Torgast, and covenant stuff. Don't have time to do all that M+ and PvP stuff.

Jeez some people are really stuck up and arrogant

The avg player has not HC CN on farm...
The avg player, has no premade group for mythic dungeons, And randoms tend to leave after the first wipe

25 hours if very generous to do all this crap, plus maw and covenant campaign...

I'm very burned out this Addon.
PUG M+ is easy to find.

The numbers this guy gives are exaggerated as hell. If it’s taking you an hour for time walking you’re fucking up. If you can’t clear normal or heroic in a few hours you’re too bad to take the game this seriously.

I wont be doing it all but the normal amount I do every week usually 7 bosses in Normal so far this week hope to finish it up Fri or Sat that will be vault line one filled out.

You need 5x timewalking for a ilvl 200 piece. That's like 5 hours.- (Have 3 done in 1 hour so far)
You need 4 m+ runs to at least give yourself a couple options in the Great Vault. That's like 4 hours, more if you pug and wipe. usually do 4 M+ dungeons for 2 pieces as guild takes about 2 hours
You need Ulduar timewalking for ilvl 200 gear. I dunno what that is, 1-2 hours?- Not wasting my time with this
Full clear normal CE, maybe 5-6 hours. Hope to do this for the first time this week
Full clear heoric CE, maybe 5-6 hours. Not there yet hope to get into Heroic next week
Maybe mythic CE first boss, another hour. Doubt Ill ever waste time with this
Torghast / covenant stuff, 1-2 hours, Covenant stuff takes an hour at most and have More Soul Ash that I know what to do with so only do weekly quest which takes all of 15-20mins to do.
PvP / arena, more hours there- I play this xpac for PVP so Arenas until Conquest cap then I swap to another character and do the same. It could take 10 hours for just this and I would be more than content.

2.5hrs usually less over a week is nothing.
You need 4 m+ runs to at least give yourself a couple options in the Great Vault. That's like 4 hours, more if you pug and wipe.
Friends and guildies my dude 4x 8+ takes maybe 4hrs, might take longer if doing higher keys and we wipe.Again spread it over a week
You need Ulduar timewalking for ilvl 200 gear. I dunno what that is, 1-2 hours?
Took about 2hrs on my alt in a PuG, last xpac I did it with guildies, 1 tops.
Full clear normal CE, maybe 5-6 hours
Where are you that a normal CN run takes 5-6 for a full clear?
Full clear heoric CE, maybe 5-6 hours
couple hours tops at this time of year, people prioritize family/friends/other stuff
Maybe mythic CE first boss, another hour.
    nope
Torghast / covenant stuff, 1-2 hours
Took me less than an hour to do 4x Layer 8
PvP / arena, more hours there
I pvp in off time for shits and giggles, matches depending on what it is range from 1-3 minutes to ~15.

Sounds like you're trying to jam everything into a day and burning yourself out. Find a guild and/or friends in this game, it makes things much much easier and quicker.

That's around 20-25 hours of play this week. Who is seriously doing all of this?
This is so inaccurate, dear god.

5xTimewalking, 45mins on main, alt will happen sometime during the week, i wouldnt even have done them since the chances for an upgrade is tiny, just did it cause it was early in the morning and was bored.

4xM+ runs will happen during the week, probably 10 since i have to boost a guild of 30 eventually, so 10 runs, 30mins each, its 6 hours spread over 7 days.

Who cares about ulduar timewalking, maybe 2h on an alt if i bother.

No one cares about Normal and no one takes 5-6 hours for it, maybe 2h.

Same as above, we dont fully clear heroic, but our raids are 4h/week, rarely 30min extra if the mood is there, so no you are wrong.

Torghast/Daily Maw/Covenant comes up to 3hr/week, actual covenant and Torghast is like 1hr, i just added 7 days of Maw dailies just to push the hours for your sake.

    PvP/Arena, lol, what?

Half arsed low skill and knowledge players talking about things they dont know, so yes, i am gonna play 15hr or so during 7 days and do the things i am supposed to do.

PS, you dont have to do things you dont like.

You should do as much as your are comfortable with. Having multiple paths for gear isn't a bad thing....

As I'm a casual who raids classic, I don't need the gear .. I want it though, so I just limit myself to 2x 8 torghast, the weekly quests and completing the maw threshold + whatever high I can go on M+. Maybe down the road, I'll do more M+'s to be picky about the gear the geat but atm I can mostly use what I get.

  11. #31
no, i cant get upgrades from timewalking or normal raid anymore.
my guild unlocked acces to the last 2 bosses on hc, so we'll only do those from now on untill we got what we needed from them.
i do 4 m+15s weekly, 10 aint worth it imo.
i havnt done much arena since ive havnt had time for it.
but i will try to get 2100 once theres less stuff to do. im a pvp noob so not sure if i can, but ill give it a try.

    What-so-ever mate....
First, it was 5!-10 minutes..tell me more about the 5 minutes runs..
Second, the dungeons: Ahn`kahet, Gundrak, HoL, Nexus, UP and PoS....The shortest is PoS...I can see the 10 minutes there...You can skip bosses in Ahn`kahet, UP however the SIZE of the dungeons makes bit hard to believe the 5-10 minutes..just to run through the empty dungeons takes around 5 minutes... but hell yeah...whatever mate...

This is the issue with a large portion of the wow community, or at least the vocal community. If the developers don't give you 5 ways to get gear people complain about gear being time gated and that they are just trying to stretch out subs. Alternatively, when they give you multiple options, people call it a second job and say it requires too much time invested.

No matter what they do, not everyone is going to be happy. I'd rather be spoiled for choice and have to self limit play, than get everything done in 4 hours of play a week and be stuck twiddling my thumbs when I find myself with some extra down time.

Spent 6 hours of my day getting M0s done for that shitty monthly quest and opened the fucking chest in the wrong spec. Opened a ticket and Blizz told me I'm SOL. So fuck doing that shit lol

5 hours timewalking? I did the first 2 in 30 minutes with a tank that was cool enough to share his insta queue.

Did the 5x TW on one character, won't be bothering on my other.
Will do Torghast / Covenant stuff and possibly an M+ if I can get a key that I don't hate. The rest I don't have time or a group for
    TLDR: No, I'm not.

I only try to keep my alts renown maxed for now, and try to stay out of dungeons, raids , pvp and torghast.

Actually no he didn't fail on the instructions. He was pointing out how shitty your post was and stupid your suggestions were. First of all on my DK as a dps spec, the time from when I first went into queue to the moment I finished my 5th TW dungeon was about 2 1/2 hours (as a dps mind you and that includes time waiting in queue). I didn't do Ulduar on him but on my priest I did it on Tuesday when the shit was still buggy as fuck. Yes that one took about 3 hours because of all the bugs/overtuning it had. As many many others have pointed out here, if you are able to do even 1 boss in Mythic CN (not CE like you said btw since it stands for Castle Nathria) you shouldn't be getting any types of upgrades from normal CN and to think about it, you probably wouldn't even get any upgrades from Ulduar or TW dungeon chest so you could realistically cross those two things off your to-do list too if you're able to get into Mythic CN and kill at least one boss. If you've got heroic CN on farm then you probably don't need to do normal CN either unless you absolutely want some item that isn't already item level 200 if you don't want to wait for it to drop in heroic CN later. PvP gear is only good if you don't have the options to get gear from PvE sources or your class utilizes versatility as one of the two main stats since all PvP gear has versatility as a stat on it along with one of mastery, crit, or haste too. I had the PvP offhand on my priest for a long time because I couldn't get an offhand from anything else and wanted to use it. My DK has 2 1h weapons from PvP because they were easily accessible for him once he turned 60. Now that both of them have gear, I won't be doing PvP unless I really want to do some BGs for fun. Your original post is so full of shit and you sound so pretentious that its bordering on sad & pathetic.

That's like 4 hours, more if you pug and wipe. - going to do one with my alt (a +2) and some more with my main (multiple +7 probably), each run will not take more than 40 minutes (same as last week, none took longer than 30 minutes)
You need Ulduar timewalking for ilvl 200 gear. I dunno what that is, 1-2 hours? - not worth the hassle imo, easier to get stuff via m+
Full clear normal CE, maybe 5-6 hours - not raiding, although a full normal run is just 2-3 hours for an average guild (time a friends guild takes, the are nowhere near mythic-level or sth)
Full clear heoric CE, maybe 5-6 hours - not raiding, non-mythic guild will prob take their 3-4 hours in there
Maybe mythic CE first boss, another hour. - not raiding, guilds that already have him down will do so in less than 30 minutes, other people will have to deal with heroic - many 8/10 heroic guilds already clear at least 2/10 mythic before going for 9/10 heroic - there you can see how easy the first boss is
Torghast / covenant stuff, 1-2 hours - finished cov with 2 characters already (together ~45 minutes), one character has done 2x L8 Torghast, together taking ~50 minutes (one run without any DPS-anima)
PvP / arena, more hours there - PvP in WoW most likely not doing it

That's around 20-25 hours of play this week. Who is seriously doing all of this?
You misscalculate the amount of time you need for some content by miles.
