Thankfully, that article has been updated:
A report from USA Today early Wednesday said a U.S. magistrate had approved the request and ordered that her pretrial travel restrictions be changed to allow for the trip. However, USA Today has since updated its report, correcting that the judge had not yet made a decision and “couldn’t say when a ruling might come.” Cudd is on pretrial release after being charged with misdemeanor offenses related to the Jan. 6 riot.

Title: AOC gets honest about why she thinks some Republicans want people to just move on from Capitol riots
Excerpt:
These people are dangerous. They must be defeated. They are doubling down on their insanity, which means we have to double down on defeating them.“These folks that tell us to move on, that it’s not a big deal, that we should forget what’s happened or even telling us to apologize ... These are the same tactics as abusers,” Ocasio-Cortez pointed out. Here she referenced being a survivor of sexual assault, and, as examples of other forms of abuse, brought up that other survivors of trauma may have survived a neglectful parent, verbal abuse, or “small to large” forms of trauma throughout their lives. She stressed there’s not just “one really big thing happening to you.”
The progressive Democrat explained that “trauma compounds on each other” and that “most people live with trauma.” She continued, “There is a community of so many people that can understand,” and stressed that many people are survivors of some degree of trauma, which is not to diminish anyone’s trauma, but rather to connect individuals. She also pointed out we still don’t know how many people will come out of the insurgency with PTSD down the road.
“This is not about a difference of political opinion,” she argued in reference to accountability. “This is about basic humanity.”

I was gonna respond with a typical "if you don't care enough to do the bare minimum and vote, you don't care enough to complain" response when you first posted this, but thought better of it given that we're talking about the USA, and systemic voter disenfranchisement is still an ongoing process there; if you're struggling to get by and voting means taking a day off without pay and spending that entire day waiting in a lineup, a lot of the most vulnerable will have to choose survival over voting, and I won't suggest they're making the wrong choice or that doing so should exclude their voices.
I changed my mind and chose to post anyway, with that disclaimer, largely because of this next post which concretely underlines the opinion my original kneejerk was about;
There are always other parties to vote for. Further, if you really care and you're really upset by your options, you could choose to get involved, and consider doing more than the absolute bare minimum of voting. Help campaign. Work with a candidate to help shape policy. Run for office yourself, under whatever banner you like.
Of course, those take effort, and the reality is that a lot of people want to spend their effort on complaining, not on actually fixing anything.
People should put more focus on the primaries then. A small fraction of voters even bother to vote in primaries and then whine that they have two shitty choices in November. It's obnoxious and anti-democratic. If you don't like what other people chose then fucking vote.
