    "Which murders?"

I assume he's talking about his co-conspirator who was shot by Secret Service while violently breaking into the room Congress was hiding from them in.

"He does remember he was convicted of sedition, right? That conviction is evidence in a court of law, even if he was pardoned."

Considering his opinion about democracy was to storm the Captiol with weapons and chant "Hang Mike Pence!" I think his view of the legal system is not standard.

"Why did he pick today to mention this?"

He was arrested for punching a woman in public.
DoJ will be instructed to settle. Immediately. For a gorillion dollars. And 1 scoop of ice cream. Each.

If you look, you can see the straw man walking a red herring up a slippery slope coming to join this conversation.

After the press conference, one of those demonstrators put her hand near Tarrio’s face as he was speaking with a photographer. Tarrio swatted it away.
The video in question, had to go to twitter cause everywhere else leaves out the first couple seconds when he throws the phone.

Neither I, nor the article I linked, said the face. I don't know where or why you saw that. It's assault and she's pressing charges.

Well fuck me don't know where I saw face either. My bad. I wonder if they will throw the book at him because it is by definition assault, I highly doubt it will stick though.

The crime he is being charged with.

The penalties associated with assault in DC depend on the level of assault charge the person faces. When a person is charged with misdemeanor simple assault; they face a maximum penalty of up to 180 days in jail and fines up to $1,000.

It's Friday and you're drunk? In any event, it was enough to get him arrested and pretty sure the video she was taking will be evidence. When the judge considers sentencing, I can't wait to hear the prosecution say "Your Honor, this man is a convicted seditionist and a proven threat to democracy, we ask for the maximum."
