Me too, but as chuckle worthy as it is, it's still horrifying to think about just how much money is wasted or misused or whatever when something like this can happen when we spend THAT much on defense. Brings up a LOT of questions and issues that need to be addressed.

The Republican Party is a terrorist organization. Pretty much a 45/45 split in support/opposition with the remaining 10% aren't sure if they like terrorism or not.

Rebellion started without consensus, it were a few people deciding for the many. Sure, after they had started violence n provoked the British enough to respond militarily they swooped in saying they were the solution when really they instigated the whole thing.

Big difference here is the cause of said insurrection, the people were being oppressed, they weren't being oppressed here they are simply mad the election did not go their way. Their believes and feelings got hurt.

If you don't see events in the context of their time you cannot use them in a comparison.

While that's a fair point, it still brings up just how ineffectual it is at defending ourselves from domestic threats. I get that it's not the point of that spend, just saying it's an absolutely monstrous amount of money that did nothing in this situation. How could we spend that money better or differently?
