Man, this country is doomed when you have an entire "news" network that ignores something like this and refuses to show it live.
Then looking at the right wing rag the NY Post basically ignoring it as well.

the two biggest sources of media who always claimed to be fair, balanced and without bias.

    Sad just sad.
    Buh Byeeeeeeeeeeee !!

So the One Big Thing here. If Trump wants to claim that he believed he won the election, then again his only defense is he is crazy (general word) or delusional. So with a "crazy" defense then this would mean he is doesn't have the mental facilities to ever run again. Well it is up to the electors and Lord help us.

Otherwise, as we have knocked Trump's mental capacity he truth is he is there mentally enough to the con. He knew he lost and thus he was intentionally trying to overthrow a legit election and our democracy. MY GOODNESS! From after the election, to Jan. 6th and to this current day, I can't believe this is open and shut and these people have been jailed for treason.

We are in a bad spot. Almost half the people are with Trump. The remaining people who understand the what is going on but those remaining who are in the dark for some reason will kill destroy our democracy.
Thing is, around 40% or so of the electorate will always be with one side or another regardless of reason. It does not matter what is said, they will always side with "Their Guy". It is the final 15 - 20% that people try to sway. That is what I hope this does. Sways those undecided voters to never vote for him. To vote for a rock on the ground before him.

Honestly, for the past nearly 20 years, the US has been in an active Cold Civil War between ideologies. It is just now coming to a head. The far right fascists have been there for a long, long time. Almost 160 years to be honest. They found their leader and are now emboldened. I just hope the current administration has the balls to actually prosecute those involved.

EDIT: Let me clarify the first part, the GOP is more likely to vehemently support their guy regardless of who is there more so then the DNC. However, both sides do have their base that will vote for whomever is put in front of them.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2022/06/10/b...g-ratings.html

Because it matters to some people early/incomplete ratings for the hearings are in. 19M viewers, which pales in comparison to debates (60-70M) or the SOTU (38M), but does have similar numbers to Sunday Night Football or the Macy's Thanksgiving parade.

Per Nielson, folks that tuned in mostly stuck around for the whole two hours, as well. This does not include Fox, who did not carry the hearing live (they had split-screen coverage without audio), whose evening programming of Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity drew their average 3M viewers and spent their whole shows complaining about and attempting to discredit the committee.

Still waiting on more networks to report numbers and should have a more accurate tally by this evening.

Yes. This was what I should have written more clearly. Let's say 40% is always Team Red and 40% is always Team Blue. My statement and as you stated around the 15-20% don't seem to grasp what has happened here. From polls and the past 2020 elections Team Red still had strong showing since well they tried to overthrow our government. On the federal level Congress people were voting against their states valid election results on Jan 6th. Plus a super majority would not state who legitimately won the election.

So yes this is why we are in a bad spot. Besides the 40% we should have a strong majority of America understanding you cannot elect a political party who will likely attempt this again.
Democrats are the best! I will never ever question a Democrat again. I LOVE the Democrats!

Oh man, watching a sitting US Senator simp for a white supremacist TV host after the TV host humiliated, "cucked", and dressed him down on live-TV is incredibly on-brand for the Republican party.

Well, that is how you get Ted Cruz to work for you. Make fun of him, his wife and his family. I mean, he did run phone banks for Trump after Trump called his wife ugly or something to that sort.

    Rafael Cruz*

Really, I think most of the Republican party has a humiliation/cuck fetish at this point.

It's just weird that the "alpha" is a pencil-necked, bow-tie wearing dweeb who used to work for CNN like Tucker Carlson.

PoliticalHumor subreddit is going nuts in a good way over the hearing. Also, I believe Fox News messed up by not showing it but talked about it. I think they forgot about the Streisand Effect. Try to block something from being shown and more people will go try and see what all the fuss is about.

My Ted Cruz take is every speech and anytime he gets do his little spiel in front of a camera, I bet in his mind he is saying "I am Killing It!". I'm sure he goes home and watches himself over and over. Well like his cuck porn likes I have a bet he finds the same gratification in his own speeches.

Donald Trump posted on shittier Twitter, aka Truth Social, who is actively banning people that talk about the January 6th meeting last night, that Ivanka Trump "checked out" when it came to election fraud, and she was just being nice and agreeing with Bill Barr.

"Ivanka Trump was not involved in looking at, or studying, Election results. She had long since checked out and was, in my opinion, only trying to be respectful to Bill Barr and his position as Attorney General (he sucked!)," Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social.

Really sick of being gaslighted by conservatives about the riot.

    "It was peaceful"
    "It wasn't violent"
    "No cops got killed"
    "No cops got beaten."
    "Legitimate discourse"
    "Ashli Babbitt was murdered"

    Like fuck off.

These fucks were smashing windows and fighting cops and chanting to hang Mike Pence, WITH A FUCKING MAKESHIFT GALLOWS. We had one dude with goddamned zip ties.

No cops got killed? Well that's great, go inform Officer Sicknick's family, I'm sure they'll be delighted to hear they didn't have to have a funeral service.

No cops got beaten? Yeah, sure, the incident with a cop being crushed by a door never happened. No cops wound up in the hospital none at all.

Legitimate discourse? These clowns were riled up and angry over lies fed to them by Donald Trump, Guilanni, OAN, etc. There was nothing legitimate about it; Flat Earthers have more legitimate discourses and they're fucking idiots.

Ashli Babbitt was murdered? Ashli Babbitt broke into a highly restricted, highly sensitive place guarded by men who were fearful of their lives and the lives of the congress they had sworn to protect. Men and women who were being overrun, who weren't getting reinforcements because the Orange in Chief was jerking off to the TV rather than sending for help. Frankly I'm shocked (and glad) that Babbitt was one of the few who got killed and that most of the cops and security were able to keep from firing their sidearms, it could have been much worse.

This gaslighting is pissing me off.

Since we can't call out Trolls and Bad Faith posters and the Ignore function doesn't actually ignore it. Add
    "mmo-champion.com##li.postbitignored"
to your ublock or adblock filter to actually ignore ignored posters. Now just need a way to ignore responses to them as well.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Members of the House committee investigating the Capitol attack said Sunday they uncovered enough evidence for the Justice Department to consider an unprecedented criminal indictment against Donald Trump for seeking to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

I am more interested if they do indict him, if he suddenly pulls out a sealed pardon, lmao.
