I'd love this, I'd pay 40 bucks for it. I'm replaying it right now and it did not hold up well. less than 30 fps, stutter around clusters of enemies, very low resolution. I heard somewhere they lost the source code and what assets they have left are corrupted.

Yes, some things holds it back for sure, BUT the builds, gear etc etc all the important stuff still great and imo combat is OK as well. Try say a 125 FCR hammer, or 200 FCR nova sorc, the game is fast enough.

Ummm, you're factually wrong. Blizzard is overseen by the CEO of Activision Bobby Kotick, who makes final decision on all Blizzards actions. JAB is only the President of Blizzard and has no say in any of the final decisions sans opinions. The CFO of Acti-Blizz? The former and current ones were both Activision suits. I don't see where you get the assumption they are seperate entities but they aren't. Blizzard is not generally good nowadays and even if they split off now, they would never be what they were but it's absolutely fine to blame them for the tumbling down of it's quality and high turnover rate of it's talent.

Because they don't want to antagonize another company for no reason. It's that simple. Activision didn't kill their puppies. They just don't agree with how the ran things. Simple as that.

What I don't get is why, after so many years have passed since the merger, people don't understand that Activision-Blizzard is a different thing from just "Blizzard". The company name is "Activision-Blizzard". "Blizzard" is a subsidiary to that company. And all the people that have worked there since 2 decades ago, if there's any left, have no say in how they're being managed. They get their orders from the higher ups at "Activision-Blizzard"

It's like saying Sony has no say in what Naughty Dog does.

The only difference is the latter isn't called "Sony-Naughty Dog" so people don't get confused.

1.) They haven't all left. There's still a bunch of people that worked on Vanilla that are still working on WoW today.
2.) The budget spent on WoW is significantly fucking higher than it was back in 2010 and before. Significantly.
3.) Activision doesn't do shit. Instead of believing rumor blogs and fake news websites, do a modicum of research yourself. If you're capable of that.

I've just started playing it again as a druid, never used that class before. it's great. I really like the animal companions and the wind abilities and the fact I don't have to even touch transformation spells if I don't want to (don't care for transform classes in games.) I really hope they don't bungle this remake like they did WC3 but from what I'm seeing, it's a different group of people handling it.

Lets face it somebody at Blizzard or activison decided rather than their own in-game artists who are 11/10 Blizzard art team, they sent out work for warcraft 3 reforged to some chinese company, i doubt "the team" really had much choice nor if they raised their voices anything would've been done at all.

yea, elemental is good. Once you get Enigma its also good, and 99 FCR. Summons are terrible in D2 - One of the other things badly wrong with the game is the balance, there is like 30-50 builds you can do, but really only like 10-20 is good. On top of item balance issues - Merch items/balance is very bad.
