When to use Maim as a Feral

Always thought it was for 3+ targets but I regularly see other ferals use it on 1 or 2 targets, too. Not to trigger BT, mind you.

In high rated PvP there's also streamers that keep Trash up, which I don't get because it has such a high energy cost and comparatively low damage. Only scenario where that'd make sense is to prep for combustion, perhaps. Or for BT, although you always use Brutal Slash in PvP anyway so that shouldn't be the case.

Well, it's a bleed so it ignores armor, so it'll do more damage relative to shred than you'd think it does, having the same energy cost. And there's a conduit that increases damage of a spell (bite maybe?) for each bleed on the target. Whether thrash is a dps increase on ST or not, only with ooc or not, has been a back and forth, patch by patch thing.

Totally forgot about that conduit. Another 2-3% bite dmg would be worth it, if it's burst dmg, especially when you chain bites during convoke. That would explain why for PvP.
