Druid or Hunter?

So After a lot of thinking I came down to decide to play either a druid or hunter. As a druid there are more options (melee dps, range dps) and if need to I can tank on WQ and TG. Hunter I can do WQ and TG as BM and MM spec for raids and stuff.

As far as rotation goes I am more use to MM and feral. However MM seems to be getting a nerf and also their dps is really middle of the pack. Good AoE but so so ST. As feral I am good at ST but AoE on trash mob is still decent but as with all melee there is a lot more mechanics to avoid. As bommy I am ok with the rotation not the best but both AoE and ST damage are very good. Also as range a lot of mechanics don't really apply.

So it seems durid win hands down. However, I also like to transmog my character and it terms of transmog hunter seems to have it better. Hunter there are different armor sets and weapons to use while as a druid well if I am in feral I can only use the few kitten form (already have the fire kitty and a few legion kitty form) Same with Bear. For boomy I can use the glyph to make it so I am an astrial self but that doesn't really show any color or details of the armor staff I am using.

I'm going to go out on a limb and presume you're a more casual player, so going off of log rankings means actual 0 in that case.
Just play BM, it handles everything quite well except rated pvp.
The 9.0.5 PTR has our pet legendary getting doubled, and it's well known that BM out scales MM which will likely happen as soon as the next crop of ilvl comes into play.

I've not been a fan of druid in many years, if you like druid; play it. All 4 specs are in a respectable position.

BM Hunter is “FUN” maybe not the best DPS but it’s a blast to play. Running and gunning at the same time, never needing to stop to cast spells. And your pet is a bad ass tank.

the old "help me choose" threads are a no go around here. I would suggest checking out some youtubers or discords to get their take on stuff.

Id suggest BM hunter, its one of those specs that can handle just about everything, just need to spam mend pet on rares while you melt their faces with the easy rotation.

I think both class is ok. Just Bommy does more dps and hunter can use better transmog....

The problem is that we can't tell you what to play. For example, how important is transmog to you, vs the ability to play melee, tank or heal? I can answer that for me (I have a druid), but I don't care much about looks, so...

The BM legendary buffs were just nerfed slightly.
