    Callings are cool.
I mean that these WQs make a really dull repeatable content. When it's a "puzzle" I actually like it - jumping quest in bastion or parasol jumping in revendreth, but 5 steps quests are nice for first few times as opposed to one step quests. Power locked behind it or not. It was supposed to be WQs 2.0, it's actually just 2-3 WQs mashed into one or "Legion Invasion, just a bit shorter"

Well, Blizz said they would do WQs 2.0, what we got feels like a "point of interest" from WoD which was actually WQs 0.5, so yeah.

Might sound silly but what i really dont like is the fact the zone are all split instead of forming a big continent, it feels really disjointed and killing the feeling of open world

Blizzard did what the "community" (=loudest influencers) wanted. If you dont like it, make some noise, let blizzard know you dont want this and make sure you ignore influencers as much as possible.

A streamer or content creator is not interested in a game that works for casual players, they want GATED CONTENT and they want casual progression walls to get people away from playing the game. Its win:win, more viewers and more negative-content to publish.

You should allways question their motivation. They earn more money if people dont play the game anymore, so every suggestion they do is for their own benefit and not for the game or the community itself.
Why do people who suck cock at the game deserve a path to mythic gear?

I'm not even talking about casuals because you can 100% get full 226 as a casual. That word means nothing. It's always bad players that complain about "gear progression".

If you arnt 220+ minimum by now you just plain suck at the game and shouldn't demand the contents standards to be dropped to your level.

WQ in general are pointless imo >< rewards are shit mostly. Im doin just callings and not always.

    1) World quests aren't that big of a deal imo, they suck horribly and take forever yeah, but they also don't give any rewards so there's virtually no point in completing them. Whether they take 1 minute or 1 hour when they don't give any rewards it's still not worth going out of your way to do.

    2) Most mogs have looked pretty bad for the past few expansions, not really anything new. Sad that Vanilla, TBC and Wrath are really the only sets worth using.

    3) WF/TF was actually pretty fun imo, it gave a reason to reclear content since you never knew if you might get lucky with a drop. It doesn't really bother me that it's gone, but at the same time I wouldn't mind if it came back.

    4) Definitely agree that raid settings need to be more varied. Hopefully the upcoming raids are a bit more interesting. At least the fights have been fairly well designed.

5/6) Haven't read a single piece of dialog or quest text this entire expansion so have no idea how the characters feel. Honestly don't even recognize any of the names of the characters you said lol. I'm sure they'll do something dumb though, the lore of WoW has been atrocious since vanilla so I don't really think that would ever change.

I'm not really sure what they need to do fix the game from a fun perspective. Cause the gameplay is pretty good, I'm really enjoying PvP this expansion and I've definitely spent the majority of my time in arenas, but the other aspects of the game are kind of lacking. On the one hand it's nice to not feel like I'm missing anything, but on the other hand I used to play WoW for like 5 hours a day and now I just play when my arena teammates are on and play other games the rest of the time.

Blizzard pays way too much attention to influencers.

As for SL, I didn't connect with the story so have found the entire expansion mediocre. It mostly resembles a pile of mechanics/systems that as a whole don't really come together. It's design-by-committee which is what we are stuck with now. It's the Blizzard way. The bigger they get, the more compromise waters everything down.

All of the bitching about Watcher to the contrary the game really doesn't bear the stamp of any one mind. It's consensus committee design which is always going to be bland. Game would likely be better if there was someone with a strong idea driving it. That's not Watcher who is all about consensus, agreement and compromise to get everyone on board.

I can only partly agree to that. Hardly any influencer has voted for Blizzard to bring back system x and then add little pointless gimmiks onto them to effectively turn it into system x+y+z^(2-i). The problem is more that they definitely have a design goal (however they reached that) that the original demand did not include. So they just warp the original demand until it doesn't represent what people actually wanted, but Blizzard still gets to claim that they listened to the people, when in reality they just switched tracks to arrive at the conclusion they were gunning for from the beginning. Blizzard is essentially the djinn/devil that will always warp your wish to fuck you over.
You are welcome, Metzen. I hope you won't fuck up my underground expansion idea.

But no WQ offers the green quality anima items, that give 5 anima.
my issue with anima wq rewards is that the amount is all over the place, WQ that is done in 2-3 minutes will sometimes give 105 and wq that have half a dozen steps and take 10+minutes will give me 35... like... why?

The game is better if there is no artiicial gear progression wall for those who play but dont do high end content.

If you play well and enjoy mythic raiding/high rated pvp etc. you get the best gear in the FIRST WEEKS of a new content. Thats your bonus.
There is no need to gate casual players who would require 12-16 weeks to get to that point.

The game is not healthier if its catered towards seasonal raiders, who are done in 2-3 weeks and quit the game for months. We had that multiple times in WoW and it sucks, empty servers in mid-content and people having a hard/impossible time to get into raiding - because NOBODY IS RAIDING and NO GEARPROGRESSION OUTSIDE OF RAIDING.

Its bad for everyone. Its bad for the casual regular players, its bad for raidgroups looking for replacements.

    Just a hint:

If gear is the only performance deciding factor between a mythic raider and a casual who got the gear over time, thats a more YOU problem as a gearing problem with the game. If all the time and practice with high end content did not teach you anything to min-max better as a casual player, you did not deserver the gear in the first place.

Because of this, it was actually the majority who wanted it removed. Go see reactions at blizzcon when they say removing warforge and titanforge... everyone is so damn happy. People in small normal only and heroic only guildswere happy... and if you ask them why, most of them cant ever get to think "But was it bad for ME?". They repeat what they heard like "i want to be done gearing even though i was not able to get full bis since Wrath icc" or "but a heroic raider should not wield a Mythic ilvl weapon".
All this is bs tbh esp since pvp how ensures most bis items. And somehow, this is no longer an issue for the same ppl, because big guilds are ok with sure non grind non rng sources .
    hey-hey,

it's one thing that TF/WF sucked
and ANOTHER is what Blizzard made instead!

It's not set in stone, not in the Bible, no big prophet said that WITHOUT wf/tf "THIS" pile of garbage is the only option. Nobody.
There are a shitload of fun and engaging variations on itemization, Blizz just blatantly fails to implement them.

Heh, when there were multiple MMOs and great ideas, Blizzard STOLE most of them and implemented into WoW with a twist: to make it as braindead as possible.
This at first attracted a lot of customers, and WoW became the king of MMOs.
Then other MMOs died out, no new fresh ideas to steal -> here we are now.

The removal of the infinite AP grind was the best part of Shadowlands. They got that part right, but as is common with Blizzard, implemented it poorly.

AP rewards are extremely stingy, but you can actually completely ignore it and that won't impact your character's power. So yeah, I'm missing out on covenant upgrades and stuff, but that's all just a ton of cosmetics. I don't have to do it. And so I'm not.

This still sucks, don't get me wrong, and it should be fixed, but I've got to admit it sucks a lot less than what we had before.

See, I wanna agree about world quests as a "world quest guy," but it leads to a rant on a completely different topic.

Me, I'm fine with world quests, I clear the map every day of Anima quests, and multiple times per day on weekends...

    ...On my druids.

And that's where my rant comes in: Dear lord historically inaccurate white baby jesus, for a game that's spent like 5 years now presenting the open world as a pillar of the level cap experience, the disparity between specs and even entire classes and their sense of time efficiency in the open world game is LUDICROUS! This was my first expansion maining a druid, I've wanted to do it since forever but there wasn't an aesthetic I really wanted to embrace. Now that we have selectable druid forms and both a class-agnostic fae aesthetic and a vampire aesthetic, I have two druids among my 4 "mains" and the difference in open world experience between them and even my other two covenant representative "mains" (a BM monk and a Blood DK) is just night and day... and I don't know how anyone mains a priest, mage, shaman or DPS spec of a class that has the option to be a tank in this environment!

I can tolerate the open world situation right now... on the right class. That that sentence can so rightfully be uttered is just nuts to me! Anyone who has any sense of time efficiency is extremely limited in the classes that aren't utterly maddening in the open world! And the open world is a huge part of the game now!

But... I play the right class. Two of that class, actually. So I'm generally ok. I can just... wait for flight to play literally every other class with any degree of commitment. That is, however, an insane state of being in my opinion.

I'm frustrated that the NPCs always look better than the player. I'm going through Revendreth wearing hideous copper and grey gear while everyone around me is rocking awesome gothic attire.

There's still plenty Blizzard could steal, but it seems they decided they wanted WoW to be old school and feel more like the MMOs of the early 2000s rather than anything modern or innovative.

Not sure what is the problem with the anima, I do it together with my friend when we come home from work ... usually takes 30 mins each day to do the daily ~8 WQ Anima and we get daily 1300-1500 anima from WQ - 1-2 M+ - Missions... you just have to play the game and you get what you want

This. I still remember when I was OMGSOHAPPY because I had unlocked Nightborne. I headed to the character creation screen... and boy was I disappointed.

In that case, they could start by removing all the fluff like covenants, soulbinds, anima, Torghast, etc. that serve absolutely no purpose gameplay-wise, other giving you more things to grind.

I wish blizz would restart legion with bfa as one super expansion making allied races available from the start. See you in 8 years

I came into this expansion knowing the story was dead. The intro pseudo-experience was nothing but confirmation for that stance going in. So at least this time I don't have the story to be pissed about. I can just nod and say "see? What did I tell you" to the newcomers who are complaining about the story.

Agree. Honestly I miss "sharp" weapons. Since cata all weapons look like as if they are made out of stone. They are bulky and not shiny at all. Many armor transmogs look very... wooden. Static. Not like clothing.
There are of course many awesome sets. But generally all new raid sets look very similar to me, not really special at all. Especially robes look super boring and interchangeable. Same size, same design. No short sleeves, no half long robes...

Generally I view the pre cata graphics (transmog) style as superior. And I only started playing with cata...
