Rock always makes the movies fun, even when they are directed by some inept people.

The Rock linked this on his twitter:

Its incredibly flawed though, looks like it assumes the movie gets 100% of the box office.
Nothing is more wild and wrong than movie profit takes. Hollywood accounting is NOTORIOUS for making numbers dance. IIRC the Lord of the Rings trilogy LOST MONEY on paper despite its multi-billion box office take, which conveniently meant paying out less profit sharing to actors etc. Amazing what creative math can achieve.
Johnson, Gadot, PJ, and Cavil are trying to save face lately with Gunn taking over and WW3 essentially dead. Johnson comparing BA to Captain America's take was seen as "embarrassing" in the industry. Creative accounting. WB/DSC is not very enthused with Black Adam.
This has really hurt Johnson with the underperformance of Jungle Cruise.
Very bad. Horrible metrics. No one of merit will back this reportage.

Maybe people are starting to realise the Rock isn't actually a draw; he's a nice guy but he can literally only do one character and people have had their fill at this point
Now for Ryan Reynolds and we can continue the trend of eliminating actors who play themselves and only themselves
Hmf...DCU is in full reboot, killing off almost every sequel that might have been planned, and dumping associated actors.
He's not a box office draw. None of the films he was a lead in performed well at the box office. The Rock has a HUGE engagement. Johnson is one of the most popular online personas in the world. That is why he is one of the top 3 highest paid actors of all time.
Ryan Reynolds and Ryan Gosling also are poor box office draw- like Johnson, their social media engagement is absolutely insane. That means a lot, it means everything really, and why they get work and have their projects bankrolled with ease.
White whales are like Chris Evans, Tom Holland (a lot of it is Zendaya), Robert Downey Jr., Lin Manuel Miranda, and Chris Hemsworth. Big engagement draws, well-regarded artists, and box office draws.
Lin Manuel miranda...had to look him up. And I don't understand the mention...
I think the rock proved his character is cool, shame China didn't ok his movie...he just needs better writers
I really liked jungle cruise, will be watching it during the holidays again fer sure
wonder woman, the director who wrote the 2nd movie was writing again for 3rd despite 2nd was bad...glad they hit the brakes..
I doubt jason mamoa has to worry, his movie did a billion dollars

He wrote Hamilton, an EGOT, Mcarthur winner, Kennedy Center honoree, and Pulitzer Prize winner. He's one of the most highly decorated, paid, and regarded artists of the last 30 years.
Disney, Warner, and Netflix each backed a dump truck of money in his driveway. Encanto was a big hit. The Hamilton D+ presentation was one of the platform's biggest draws. Moana was huge on the ancillary market, etc.
Miranda's engagement is huge.
A lot of films failed to launch in China the past 2 years. Their film quotas have been tight and there was a lot of suspect accounting around China's box office reporting for a while now. The latter has made distros less interested in the market.
Black Adam Streaming Release Date Confirmed (& It's Soon)

BY RYAN NORTHRUP - 2 HOURS AGO
Now, HBO Max reveals the Black Adam streaming release date on Warner Bros. Discovery's service is set for the near future. The official streaming release date for the film is confirmed to be next week on Friday, December 16th. The streaming release date announcement comes just days after Johnson took to social media to confirm that Black Adam will turn a profit for DC Studios following reports of the film's box office failure.
The DCEU is basically doomed at this point.
More trickling out on what was an open secret in the industry:

Because what the DCEU really needed was MORE problems
Well, good riddance I guess. If they can't get their shit together, they don't deserve success.
