I'd imagine they exist as a backup. If the Doctor dies, the Junior Doctor is promoted to the new Doctor.

That's how the role worked in previous games, but it's been a while since I've seen it in play.

I doubt this, your apprentice was in a chat with the main deathspeaker. If the jr cop/doc is in a chat with their main counterpart that would create two mason groups - which I find unlikely.

It depends. I don't find Bwon lies well. This absolutely seems like a reaction she may have. However, if there is an experienced player on scum, such as Foxxi or Xanjori, I could absolutely see them making her do plays like this.
