Sorry, this is a bit of a tangent and we really shouldn’t talk about women like this, be it positive or negative... but, what the fuck is wrong with Crowder, for playing the horse sound, when ever she is on his screen? Is that man out of his m... silly question...

Edit: “but, ...” I am now one of those people... man... I need to be better...

Yea exactly, this is just ends up as bigotry-driven fascism.

If Michael Shannon doesn't do the narration, I will be disappointed.

For example, the Romans first absorbed the Greek Pantheon, then later subsumed local pantheons in conquered nations: Sulis in Britannia became Sulis Minerva. The ancient settlement became Aquae Sulis, and has survived into the modern age as the city of Bath.

Roman culture was as much marked by those it conquered as the conquered nations were by the Romans. It was startlingly effective.

It didn't really end there, either.

    See the cult of Sol Invictus in the early CE period, and then the conversion to Christianity, with some edits by Constantine who'd been raised worshipping Sol Invictus; this is why Christian art for more than a thousand years since tended to represent a halo as a sun disk behind the heads of those who showed it;

It's also why Christmas got shifted to align with the Winter Solstice, one of Sol Invictus' festival days.

I'm mostly speaking about art history here, mods, not religion itself, plzkthx

Oh, god yeah; the Sol Invictus cult didn't by any means invent the artistic concept of sun disks.

I'm just pointing out the direct connection between that particular cult and later Christian art. That's exactly where it got drawn from.

Heh, true in a sense. But some fascist movements were spurred by economic factors and nationalism and bigotry were bonuses. Such as early Italian fascism just after WW1 or early localized syndicalism in Europe. Those proto-movements were not necessarily driven by bigotry, it was just really convenient to include bigotry and nationalism on the back of local worker movements.

Obviously, early American worker strikes and labor cooperation in textiles and mining too existed. India, Africa, Spain, etc.

But people like MTG and many other GOP members have no such roots with labor. They just want to be bigots and profit.

A year before her election to Congress, Marjorie Taylor Greene sought out Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's Capitol office and taunted the Democrat through the mail slot, video unearthed by CNN shows. https://t.co/LWTDzzwrns

That is a crazy shitter and should not be in Congress.

There is vid and pics of this event. As you guess, she looks and acts crazy.

Check link/vid above. This crazy shitter is yelling through a mail slot.

Oh and she is talking about a) AOC representing her. NOPE. b) Rants about state of New York, which again she is not a resident.

I wouldn't be to worried until they hold their rally in Maddison Square Garden. Trying to revive the German American Bund

The whole "I'm an American citizen, I pay your salary" line is so fucking cringeworthy. You pay her salary along with hundreds of millions of other people, so just sit down and shut the fuck up you nasty, vile human being.

They also pay that sum for a lot of government officials and general costs. If we all were granted time with our representatives, equal to the percentage of their salary we pay... we don’t have tools to measure such a short period of time. Our brains can’t interpret time, at such a small interval.

Vaccinated employees get a vaccination logo just like the Nazi’s forced Jewish people to wear a gold star.

Vaccine passports & mask mandates create discrimination against unvaxxed people who trust their immune systems to a virus that is 99% survivable.

Once again labeling non-vaxxinated as being persecuted.

This is nothing more than the pathetic death rattle of a powerless representative who has realized she's a one-term politician. She's desperate for attention and validation without her committee assignments. The sooner we deny her the attention she craves the better.
Populists (and "national socialists") look at the supposedly secret deals that run the world "behind the scenes". Child's play. Except that childishness is sinister in adults.
