Hello.

My wife and i are thinking about picking up SWtOR again. I played through the eternal throne stuff back in the day but still have plenty of things to level. Most of our characters got to the Yavin / Ziost part.
How is the Eternal throne when played with two people? Will there be a bunch of quests you need to run twice like it used to be if both players are the same class?

As far as two people playing together goes that has not changed at all as far as I know. You will need to complete things twice like it has been when it comes to most story mission elements.
