Jeff Kaplan (OW director, former WoW director) leaves Blizzard

    More at Link.

    This is huge.

Damn, Jeff was pretty chill with WoW back in the day. Sucks to see him leave. I know he hasn't been on the WoW team for awhile, but I'm certain the OW team feels just as upset over his leave...I think?

Everyone from old Blizzard is slowly leaving. I really hate to see that. D:

So... probably 'the last big one' is gone...

He's really popular within the OW community too.

Sucks to see him go, but it's understandable.

Yikes, that is a very big loss...
FOMO: "Fear Of Missing Out", also commonly known as people with a mental issue of managing time and activities, many expecting others to fit into their schedule so they don't miss out on things to come. If FOMO becomes a problem for you, do seek help, it can be a very unhealthy lifestyle..

20 years at a company is a great stretch.

He did great on WoW, wish him all the best going forward! Excited to see where he ends up (probably with the old gang?).

    Yeah that's pretty huge indeed.
Do you hear the voices too?

How so? He was currently part of OW with nothing to do with WoW. It's big for OW that's for sure.

Thats another huge blow for the company. Jeff was one of the OG's who made WoW as good as it was, and did a rather amazing job with Overwatch. Him and Omar leaving basically finished off the last remaining bit of Blizzard that was left.

    Tom Chilton is still there.

    Maybe.

Wow, I thought he would at least stay to see OW"2" come into its own.
You are welcome, Metzen. I hope you won't fuck up my underground expansion idea.

I think he left years ago and Blizzard is covering it up for whatever reason.

I don’t blame them all for leaving.

Hopefully they go to ethically better companies.

I’d like to support the talented developers, without supporting people like Kotick and Activision board.

    Well damn...

Its like growing up and seeing people around you move away and then seeing people move in and seeing the neighbourhood you knew not be the neighbourhood you remember anymore.

Good and I wish him the best luck without that corruption of a company.
