These record sales are a proof of what I said and not what you think they’re proving.

We‘ll get the new quarterly results in two days. Most likely they will be pretty underwhelming due to no big releases in Q1 and the ongoing content drought for retail, which kept subs bleeding as early as January.

Extending Shadowlands with not only 9.3 but 9.4 on top makes in no scenario sense as it would be financially a loss. When expansion sales (as you even proved with your sources) are the only things that boost quarterly results and when expansion sales are the things that break records (whatever that means in the long term), they for sure won’t extend an expansion by 6-12 months and delay their record expansion sales for a whole year. Sticking to their 2 year scheduling and securing that sweet instant money from expansion sales will be their main goal which has the highest priority.
Idk if you know but the share holder call is about Q1 they literally wouldn't give a shot. Especially since "tbc coming this date" and "tbc coming some time soon" is all the same to them. They don't give a shot about the actual date. Just that it's soon...

Idk if you actually read the things , but they don't get detailed with literally anything about the video games. These calls are 100% money based. They do not give a shot what day you are releasing a patch.

It‘s about to give shareholders something to hold on, especially if the quarterly results are rather underwhelming.

And I don’t know if you know this, but the new Shadowlands release date was announced the same day shortly before they presented the Q3/2020 financial results on October 29.

This is an official line from their shareholder summary: https://investor.activision.com/stat...8-7cd443b44c9a

World of Warcraft® MAUsD were stable year-over-year. Anticipation continues to build for Shadowlands,
the next expansion for modern World of Warcraft, ahead of its November 23 launch.

So if we’re getting a TBC release date soon, which is very likely as May 18 is just two weeks away, we‘ll most likely get it on Monday or Tuesday if TBC launch is on time and not delayed.
