I miss glyphs

Looking at a list of glyphs in Wrath, very few actually did this.

Maybe it was nostalgia speaking then.

It would nonetheless be interesting to see them add a progression system with the same underlying "power at a price" system as corruption had, but specialised for specific classes.

And gluphs do seem like they could fit that bill, even if they apparantly didn't in the past.

Stuff like example: Prayer of mending, flash heal are now castable in shadowform.

Many were just.. mandatory and again gave the illusion of actual choice. Which is blizz speciallty.

Tell me, what value does the system add? You google the best one, pick that, and go through a pointless task of having to gain renown for a system that ultimately serves no purpose other than to waste your time. So of course you forget it exists because its pointless.

Main use and purpose of glyphs was, that they worked as class-wide talents/talents outside trees, they had no restrictions on their use. Of course, some of them buffed specific talents, but this was already feature of each version of implementation and, ideally, should be avoided as much as possible - remain more general and insignificant, thereby avoiding status of "mandatory". Actually, overwhelming majority of those were very situational and insignificant, thereby being within status of talents in class' hierarchy and most importantly - no connection with "expansion progress", as it should be for such systems... so those, who mention in this topic "about lack of choice", just didn't need one, they didn't see themselves in different situation, but not everyone were locking themself in one style/area of play/game. So, gentlemen, your opinion is not the only one and of course it's not an absolute truth.
